Lovely ambience, good wine list. Menu was fairly basic - not amazing - but food was fresh and nicely prepared. And great service.

I used to like this place but today I had the grossest experience there, and I don't think I'd be coming back. The girl at the bar brought us our drinks and then she went back to the bar, took her shoes off, got out a cloth and started cleaning and polishing her sneakers. She was on it for maybe 15mins. Right there at the bar, right over the stand with the glasses and the jug with water. She then proceeded to folding the cloth, putting it next to the glasses and serving drinks to other people. Without washing her hands or anything. That cloth remained on the bar, I'm wondering what she's gonna be doing with it next - maybe polishing the glasses? Man. So so gross

46&York is a pretty little bar and restaurant. We can here for after work drinks and nibbles during winter.
They had a good selection of bubbles and, as I had been told, the espresso martini’s were amazing!
It was quite cold where we were sitting and there seemed to be a bit of confusion about who was serving us, but once we did get a waiter he was great and friendly!
Really enjoyable and I’ll visit again!

A totally unpleasant experience. My children get grilled for I. D at the dinner table before we have even ordered tap water by an incompetent waiter. Food was less than ordinary, fish sliders came out cold, Lamb rack was nothing short of microwaved lamb chops. The meals look nothing like the photos they post. Probably the worst meal I have had in the last 5 years. Better off getting a happy meal at McD, at least their staff are more competent! Unfortunately there isn't a "No Star" option, so you get 1.

Chic bar with great drink selection. Service was great. One of the better spots in parnell to grab a drink.

The tomato on my burger was past its use-by date and a $5 coke turned out to be a glass full of ice with a few mouthfuls of flat soda stream ersatz coke from the bar tap. Not pleasant

Hands down, one of the best places in Auckland! Loved the service, food and the drinks. The chicken wings and rumchata pots de creme (desert) are a must try (personal favorite). Way to go guys. Look forward to my next visit.
