Ada Restaurant reviews
22 Best meal of our 16 day trip in NZ. Two dinners and a breakfast because it was so good!
The dinner menu is heavily considered and thoughtful. Delicious, must try!
Came here for breakfast recently and had a fantastic Hangi Pork Belly Benedict. A great place with such nice and caring staff and welcoming atmosphere!
What an awesome place for a meal. We loved the atmosphere, the service from our waiter Glen was 1st class and the food from Head chef was outstanding. A wonderful experience for a couple of Aussies in Auckland.
Absolutely delicious and very cool ambiance. The staff was very friendly and helpful with meal choices. Timely arrival of food. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back!
Disappointing for the occasion it was. Booked online and mentioned that I was booking to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday which is obviously a special occasion. We have two very young kids so hardly get out these days When we arrived there was no one anywhere to be seen to welcome us or even acknowledge that we were there. It took a long time to be seated. We got placed at the bar, had I known we were to be seated at the bar I wouldn’t have booked Ada. Drinks took a long time to arrive, they were waiting behind the bar even though we were right there on the other side of it food was an absolute delight, the flavors were fabulous. Unfortunately there was no candle/writing to celebrate the birthday. Do you have to specifically ask for things like that these days? Wasn’t going to say anything because surely you should just have to say it once, right?
The best way to say goodbye to our New Zealand trip! The dinner at Ada was an incredible experience, the place was very cool, the stuff super friendly and try the best maori-fusion food! We sat in the counter and we even had the chance to speak with chef and ask for his recommendations directly! Definitely this was the best way we could end our trip and we only wish we can come back some day! We’ll definitely recommend this place to all our friends visiting NZ!
I was blown away by this restaurant. Excellent food, wonderful service and amazing vibes. Will definitely be going back. Thanks to the team at Ada for a wonderful experience.
Perfect evening with exceptional food and staff thank you for an amazing memory of Auckland
Went for a dual-birthday dinner at an early sitting and the service and food was great. The whole fish as stunning-crispy outside and beautifully cooked inside. Sorry didn't take photos.
Amazing experience, delicious food, friendly staff. Paua pasta is a must.
One of the best meals I had in Auckland. Highly recommended
Stunning meal showcasing Maori cuisine. Great atmosphere small and intimate with great staff. Well worth a visit or two. Pretty much tried one of everything
Pretty good place, very cute place for a couple or date. We came in a big group and it catered very well!
We had the set menu which was a OK amount for the price, dishes were full of flavour however relatively smaller than what we would have liked.
The drinks are the best here!
Good atmosphere
Really friendly staff
However slightly slow service and everything kinda needed more salt
Had the shared menu. Great way to eat. The staff and chef are great team.
One of Auckland’s best.
We had the set menu (Sunday lunch). Could not fault it! The food was incredible and service superb, and it was excellent value for money. Lovely atmosphere
Incredible! Delightful! Amazing! Thank you to the team and everyone who made such a splendid experience.
Managed to skip the reservation and crash this eclectic offering. Wonderful old church, a little spooky which adds to the appeal. Food offerings were exquisitely executed. Service was warm and inviting. Ada is definitely a special occasion destination. A must try on the top of Auckland dining list!
Surpassed our expectations- we put our sept in the hands of the waitperson and sommelier who were enthusiastic and respectful. Service was amazing and food was out of this world. Ngā mihi nui.
Ada is a place where tasting food is an experience and an awesome one at that. Would recommend as casual dinning place.
Superb food (interesting italian/maori fusion) in a beautiful setting. Excellent sommelier. If the weather is up to it, have a drink beforehand sitting in the evening sun on the balcony of the bar. Decor honours the building's heritage, albeit with a touch of humour.
