Air New Zealand Regional Lounge reviews
56 Super fast super efficient check-in
Thought I needed 2 hours and took a spare
Now I'm stuck with 2 hours to spare
My advice: arrive 1 hour ahead
Could clean the chairs.the place is always busy so should be maintained more regularly during the day
The worst check in experience in my life. And the worst experience at all the airports.
A lot of self check kiosks but check in for most of the flights are not available at those kiosks. Then, Miles of travelers are lining for 5 check-in counters. Even we arrive 2.5 hours prior to the flight, we still have to wait till very the last min to get check-in. There was no one organizing the line at all. Travelers were lining first for the self check kiosks and then line up for the counter again. It is definitly the most ineffective management in the world.
I like Air Nz for flying as they seem to be a bit more cleaner with better quality in cabin compared to Jetstar, but this time round we were let down multiple times.
We were travelling with someone that needed assistance and a bit more care taken with as she was in a wheelchair.
The flight was nearly an hour late, the staff had said they would make sure to let her on the plane first and to ensure she was looked after.
This was not the case, once the gates opened, she was not looked after in any respect and waited at the back of the line until one of the other flyers opened up the gate for her and put her in the front of the line, still there staff had nothing to say about the lack of assistance that was not received.
There was no wheelchair waiting once we landed and still no assistance given to get one.
Service in flight was fine and food was to be expected.
Not entirely thrilled over the experience and hope they step up their game in that respect.
Great place with excellent food places and restaurants. Great staff for advising visitors of where and what to do and go. We'll done
Pretty good regional lounge, with barista coffee and pretty good food selection with hot food usually being pretty tasty Indian curries.
The cabin crew on our short flight from Auckland to Tauranga have been absolutely delightful. Sense of humour second to none!
Worth getting to the airport early to fully enjoy the quiet, food and coffee. Great way to start the trip.
Bottled water would be nice to have available, also diet tonic water. Very friendly, spotless, great environment and a relaxing space to be in.
First visit since the upgrade and well worth it. MUCH better than the old one downstairs. Plenty of space and good selection of food.
I saw quite a fuss around the famous air nz lounge in the years and, after a while, I ended up trying it. And nothing: it was clearly crowded and food nothing of special. Meh.
In the current covid environment, Air NZ has not skimped on customer service in the lounge. Friendly, attentive staff and clean facilities. Food was fresh and delicious, and included keto and gluten-free options. No kids area in the regional lounge unfortunately, but big windows for plane viewing is a hit. Well worth a stop.
Great flat white and just what you need after a long flight before a short hop south. Worth looking at cleaning door handles and other high touch areas these days rather than just the table top. Also review handing out sweets from a communal basket these days
Noice! Lovely lounge after upgrade, staffed with very friendly people. Food is good - similar to other NZA lounges - and coffee is great!
Went into the new regional lounge 4 days after it opened. Compared to the old regional lounge it is vast. The old lounge did get busy and it was often better to go through security and use the domestic lounge.that has changed. Views are stunning, better than the domestic lounge, and it is way larger. Staff were excellent, really clean and tidy. Food was great, and altogether a really enjoyable experience. This has moved the regional lounge to a whole new level
A little overcrowded but great otherwise. Looking forward to the opening of the new regional lounge
This place is under construction for last few months and is ever shrinking, not really pleased that it is taking this long to just make a lounge in the a mega city. Air New Zealand is a good airline but this lounge business is disappointing
Currently undergoing renovations so limited very space. Great batista coffee and a small selection of food.
A bit of a shambles while building work is going on but looking forward to a new bigger regional lounge once finished.
New Plymouth, one of the few Airports in the world where you can see cows grazing from the lounge!
