AMI Insurance Manukau reviews
6Terrible claims process that has taken 2 months to try and resolve. Unfortunately it hasn’t been resolved and will require further action. They recommended a poor Panelbeater who failed to do the job as stipulated and then hide behind what the insurance assessor thinks. The Panelbeater was listed in their premium selection, so one would think they would do a far better repair. They have got video footage showing the incident and they cannot review it. The part to finish the repair is $90 fitted. If possible I would give AMI Insurance 0 stars, very disappointed.
The team here are always really helpful and always do everything they can to make it easier for their clients. Very much appreciated!
Been calling them but no one answering. It seems like I have waisted my time reading their false advertisements. NOT A RECOMMENDED INSURANCE COMPANY
They should change their business motto from "AMI - Caring for NZers for nearly 100 years" to "AMI - We are currently experiencing longer than expected wait times". That's their standard greeting whenever you call them. And believe me, I have called them a lot in the last 3 weeks. 3 weeks, yes that's how long I have been waiting for my claim to be approved. Still "waiting for the assessors" I keep getting told. Assessors who are not answering their phone apparently. Was about to offer a charity laugh before I realized the rep wasn't joking. The assessors are not answering their phone. My God. Even businesses run from abandoned warehouses stopped using such excuses let alone a multi-million dollar organization like AMI. Their phone support is shocking by the way. Have to go through 200 different prompts before you even get into the queue. "If you are calling for an earthquake claim press 1, if you are calling for an existing claim press 3, if you are calling for car insurance press 1, if your favourite colour is blue press 6. " Then you find yourself waiting in the queue listening to really really bad music because they are "experiencing longer than expected wait times". Around 10mins on hold, you get through to someone who after the security checks will ask to put you on hold again "for 5 to 10 mins to go through the notes". And you wonder why they are always "experiencing longer than expected wait times". 5 to 10mins to go through the notes? Come on. I have worked at a call centre. You don't need 5 to 10mins to go through the notes. I worked for an ISP. We did all sorts of line checks while we had the customer on hold. Still it didn't take us 5 to 10mins. Either it's a case of lack of knowledge or their reps are using these hold times to go for coffee/smoko breaks. Last person I spoke to had me on hold for a whopping 14mins. 14mins to tell me that they are still "waiting for the assessors". 3 weeks and counting to get approval for a minor damage to our car. And to think we have our home and contents with them as well. Quite scary to be honest.
