An Eye 4 Art reviews
21We have been coming here for a while now to get our pieces for gifts etc there’s beautiful Carvings jewellery you name it if you cannot come in store go online to their website.
Fantastic store, my first go to for anything kiwi/Maori. Beautiful Korowai & many other treasures. Great job your doing Marie!
Ngā mihi kia koe e Marie. I whakapaia koutou toku taonga hei toki. He ātaahua to mahi.
Thank you Marie for the repair/relashing of my hei toki neck pendant. Fine work
Such a cute little shop. Whaea was really helpful. My parcel had been sent on an overnight send but the posties had trouble with it and still hadn't sent it a week later so I rang Whaea who offered for me to go into the shop to get the same material and then drop off the parcel once it arrived, no extra cost. Arohanui ki a ia.
So appalled with the way I was spoken to yesterday! Ordered and paid for a taiaha however, the carving looked a bit off (was told it was a grain in the wood) but it genuinely looked like the carver had messed it up so I asked for a replacement as it is a 21st gift. Went to pick up the replacement and was given a whole lecture about how that's how wood is, thats how nature is and not everything is perfect, I tried to reply with "understandable but" and didn't even get to finish my sentence before the lady cut me off, looked me in the eyes and told me "no you don't understand" so rudely and in front of another customer. I understand that it may be an inconvenience for your shop but if the customer is not happy with the product, then our wishes for a replacement should be respected and we shouldn't have to deal with being lectured and feeling diminished. I also looked at the wood pieces that were in the shop and none of them seemed to have "grains" in them. I loved the product but the way I was spoken to was so appalling which has put me off purchasing from this store ever again. Please respect your customers.
Love this store. The store owner has this beautiful ahua and very intuitive. I was drawn to a pounamu and she gave me hood insight to my selection. Definitely highly recommended. Love, love, love this store.
Brilliant home shop, welcoming, tidy and so convenient. HUGE range of taonga to patu, taiaha to earings. Te Reo māori learning material i: e kids magnets of kupu māori. Owner is beautiful, honest and very approachable. If you ever need engraving done this can be an over night service which we've personally experienced and the engraving was perfect and affordable. Thank you so much and this is definitely my go too for all whānau gifts.
1 stop shop for any gifts or decors. The kuia who runs it is so beautiful & has a story about the origins for some of the pieces there. 1 of my fave places for Maori arts n crafts at an affordable price.
It was ok. So much jamed into a small space unsure on where to start looking or what to look at. The owner wasn't that frienldy or inviting which made it hard to ask questions regarding things.
I arrived early, the lovely lady opened up for me. Got 21sr key really helpful. Would recommend An Eye for Art if you are looking for something a bit diffetent. Well done!
