7 WARNING! This company has a history of ripping people off!
Just had to get the chimney cleaned again by a real professional after Andy Andersons cleaned it in April this year. Was told nothing must have been cleaned previously as chimney was totally filthy. Total Con!
Visited website in hopes of finding costs for services but was vague and basic. My parents use to use them in the 90s and have been waiting 20yrs for them to come back and clean our chimney for our regular cleaning. Have never had much luck in getting hold of them in the past 5yrs when calling.
Quality clean and service, great care advice for our fire. Swift to respond to our initial request and to complete the job, competitively priced too. Highly recommend.
Chimney swept and a fault was noted but no follow up for repair. 3 phone messages, an email, and a week later and still no response.
Actual chimney sweep was, we fine.paid cash at time of payment was told you will get invoice but ignore. Have had repeated follow-ups for invoice despite contacting to advise paid at time no reponse to emails or calls. Admin is terrible. Took ages to get a booking and it's just impossible to communicate they never answer the phone or return messages.
Easy to book, superb service, and really feel like you're being looked after. Have used for years and will continue to do so.

This company clearly has a history of ripping off customers. Unfortunately I didn't know their history and reputation when I engaged them from a google search. They sent a guy out to clean our chimney and he was there for 5 minutes max. He was a strange guy who didn't say anything and made our tenants feel uncomfortable. He left without cleaning the chimney and sent me an invoice for $100 anyway. Despite me giving my mobile phone number and requesting a call if there were any issues, the first I knew of them not cleaning the chimney was a line on their invoice. Apparently he did not want to unscrew a bolt in case it broke something! I had another company attend, recommended through a shop and the job was done without any issues, fantastic service, and even blackened the fireplace to look like new!
On the advice of the serviceman who successfully completed the job I phoned the owner of Andy's to explain that I cannot pay for a job not done. We had a surprisingly good conversation and he agreed to credit the job. Then out of the blue I got a letter chasing payment. I had a conversation with their administrator (Maree) to explain, followed up with a very clear email, had another conversation. Maree agreed to speak with the owner and get back to me to confirm. I heard nothing more for months, then last week they sent me a BAYCORP letter threatening legal action! I was absolutely gobsmacked. I am sad and frustrated to say I have just paid the invoice because I don't want to spend the time and money fighting them. It is clear that they are very used to going through the heavy handed process, and I suspect this is a big part of how they do business. They know exactly what they're doing - turn up for 5 minutes, send invoice, send baycorp letter, move onto the next mug who doesn't do their research and understand their ethos.
BEWARE THIS COMPANY - DON"T GO THERE!
