It's been some time since I last visited Animates. It was lovely seeing the growth of the store with so much more on offer too. I have a new 12 week old puppy, a mini schnauzer. Can you tell me if you do puppy / socialisation classes?

I always enjoy a look around here, plenty parking, friendly staff, tidy shop, expensive though.

Not the most welcoming groomer.but she did a good job.quite pricey which wouldn't have been an issue but the customer service made us feel unwelcomed and a nuisance

Anything you are unsure of, you can ask the team for info. We also didn't realize that you can get a genetic test done on our puppy especially if you are unsure of what breed they are. Got told that you can do the DNA test for approx $150? Or so and you can be told what breed your dog is if they are a mixed breed. Awesome customer service and will return again

Your trusted pet supply store. Pet food, medicine, toys, everything. It's also good to go shopping on weekends.

Friendly staff on the floor. Received help with the bags of dog food bought. Competitive prices. Great selection of dog toys

Had a not so pleasant grooming experience for the furry kid. Furry kid was shaven almost to the skin entirely with a minor problem of matted fur on the head and legs. Unfortunate event at giving the trust to the groomer to do what was best for the furry kid but not.
Nevertheless, very nice and friendly groomer - possibly not so experienced.

I use the dog grooming facility but the rest of the store is well supplied and staff are welcoming and friendly.

Manukau is my all time favorite as they have a DiY dog bath facility, the staff here are exceptional in every way.

Cannot rate the team at Animates & the Vets highly enough. They are very friendly, accommodating and understanding. I have all three of my dogs registered and take them into the store whenever I get the chance as they love it!
Unfortunately I've had a couple of emergency in the past with my pets and the team have gone above & beyond to fit us in and talk us through everything.
I recommend them to anyone who asks.

Ps- This is my new baby Russ having a blast seeing everyone at Animates and getting his vaccines too

When I purchased a large dog lead for my Rottweiler they informed me that if he pulls on it there is no guarantee. What?

I have a been a loyal customer of this store/practice for many years. Recently my dogs monthly prescription has gone up $30 and tonight they sent me an email to advise they are enforcing vaccine passports. I am prochoice and do not support the governments ridiculous mandates. Time to shop elsewhere.

Brought a puppy through lockdown and had great experiences with the lovely team here.
Click and collect was easy, great communication and information. Turned up to collect the mountsain of things I had purchased the signage was easy to understand and I could see, the staff very busy with filling orders inside.

I used the grooming service and they did a great job. There is a lot of pet equipment and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a self grooming area to rent also. Best animates ive been to. The groomers have been wonderful with my pup

Impressed that our cat's injuries were all identified and treated after a cat fight which left him with a bad limp and unable to jump up. Relieved it didn't cost too much and the antibiotic injections were a welcome option. Good work thank you, he got well quickly!

Purchased during L4 with their 90 minute pick up and the process was fantastic and polite on the phone and well labeled signage on what to do as well as via email. Can't wait to go in and meet the lovely staff. 5 stars based on experience in L4 lockdown

A very pleasant store to visit. Friendly helpful staff. Vet nurse and vet where very kind and patient helped me understand fully the care I needed for my pet after surgery.

A very sweet guy who knew alk about turtles and helped up tremendously. He's a real asset to the company.
