Applejack's Steakhouse

I didn't think the food was that great. Garlic loaf was a littlebrown- black on top. They had no ice cream for the desserts the only saving grace was the friendly young man who served the drinks.

My name is allan and I went with my nana.we got there took them 30 minutes to serve our table the food was cold obviously nobody knows how to shred the brisket cause it basically looked like thin strips of cut up steak on my burger the fries were cold also over but the dessert was the only thing that was nice

Use to love going to Applejack's. We had dinner there on 24/02/23. What a disappointment. We waited ages for someone to come take our order. One of the girls was having a chit chat to a bunch of young once at a table near us, the other one was just standing at the register doing nothing. Finally someone came to take our order, and no, it wasn't even busy. We wanted burgers just to be told there is no buns, my stepson wanted chicken wings just to be told once again there wasn't any. We then ordered the chicken schnitzel, omg, it looked like a kids meal, hardly any mash on the plate and 2 small pieces of chicken and we waited ages for it to come as well. Not sure we will go there again.

Maybe it was a rough day for Applejacks.wife and I felt awkward and meals missing elements due to low stock.steak sauces did not elevate the meal (garlic and wine jus)

Went in at lunchtime on a quiet Saturday. Not many people inside yet we were shown to a table. After this our order was not taken. We waited twenty five minutes before finally giving up and going somewhere else. When we left there were servers standing around chatting, texting and seemingly not busy. While outside tables remained uncleared and other guests like us were left waiting to order without water or any service. Disappointing to say the least.

Cool place. Great decor and atmosphere. The food was fabulous, in fact exceptional value. The staff were friendly and knowledgable too. They even have a separate function room you can hire, big screens for sport and it's a great layout with plenty of outdoor seating too.

Went there after work to have a quiet one, atmosphere is great lively, ordered the buffalo chicken wings and I have to say they taste boiled with a lot of Buffalo sauce on it. Little bit of sour cream and celery. Those I don't really recommend but other food looks great.

Yeah na. For the price point this restaurant is asking, the quality is just not there. Having an open faced kitchen when the cooking staff are clearly not taking it seriously is not a great look. The food wad bland, took ages to arrive, and the portions were small. Went with the family and spent $350 for 6 people. There are much better places to spend your money in Auckland.

Good place to dine but they need to hook up music outside so everyone can get up and dance to the music

Our waitresses were very nice young ladies who were very friendly. But we had order a meat lovers pizza, a burger, a steak and ribs not only was the ribs stone cold but we asked for no seasoning or anything on the steak because of allergies when the steak came out there was seasoning on the fries and the waitress said the chef put it on anyway. Not to mention there was vomit all over the mens bathroom, all up the walls it was disgusting!

There was a group of young adults and most of them did not look of age outside drinking who were very rowdy and chugging jugs of beer and it sounded like they were smashing glasses. It was a Saturday night which we understand but the time that we went it was meant to be a family restaurant not a club. When we complained to the waitress about it nothing was done so we asked to speak the manager and he was very rude and came to the table with a smug look on his face, when we told him that we had experience in hospitality he all of a sudden he became the owner of the restaurant. He was very rude to myself and my family and there was no reason for it. He said that we were picking for the argument when we just wanted to let him that he could lose his manager licence over it. Not only that but he also try to step towards myself but also to my wife and daughter trying to look down on us almost trying to intimidate us.

We used to love going to Applejacks because the food was great as well as the service and the owner that we had met was amazing. Sadly because of this experience we will never be coming back. We have also reported this to the Auckland Council as well as the Police for over serving alcohol.

Disgusting management service! The so called owner was so rude and he was very disrespectful all because we complained about some loud ‘regulars’ who were drinking, chugging beers like they were water and smashing glasses everywhere not to mention vomit all over the bathroom walls. Most of our food order was wrong and the food came out cold and chewy. I would not recommend Applejacks unless the management staff changed.

In these days, we're spoilt for choice, so many great restaurants within a couple of kilometres, my experience today will never get me back. Thought I'd order takeaways to relax at home, eat in front of the Tele. Called and was told 10 to 15 minutes, I went there 20 minutes later. Never expected to wait for at least another 20 minutes. This place is not new to me, in fact I'll tell you that their steaks are good, but so are many other restaurants and such service is totally unacceptable.

This was my first time visiting Applejacks.
There was a lot of food on the menu which they ran out off (I do understand Covid times). The food was not bad, service was good. I won't return soon but I'll definitely give it another try in the future.

Excellent service and felt welcomed and comfortable. Prices were as expected for beautifully cooked meal. Really appreciated the waitress coming and checking to make sure the food was cooked to order. Definitely will be coming back again for dinner or for a family event.

First time order this evening. Excellent food! The chicken fettuccine was particularly magnificent! Will be my go-to Friday night UberEats order.

Arrived for any early dinner just after 5: 00 p.m. To find every single table reserved. And empty.

We took a high table at the bar and essentially that was where any concept of service ended.

It looked like they were only three staff on and no maitre d. No one looked in charge, no manager or owner quietly rallying troops.

Basically had to the go to the bar to get any form of service.

One time I surprised the barman who was checking his phone standing at the coffee machine, not making a coffee.

One staff member, mostly kept her back to the patrons, cleaning the cutlery, another just walked past our table ignoring empty glasses.

I have to say it they all seemed disinterested and to top it off the food was only okay.

I loved this place when it first opened and it is not my local. It's a bit of a destination for me.

I'm in no rush to head back.

I need to stress this isn't the staff's fault. Pub owners need to understand and train stuff to engage with patrons.

It's not rocket science.

We weren't there on a quiz night as per the reply.

Perfect place to chill! The team I was with had burgers and I was the only one who ordered pizza. Ordered food and drinks from the bar are great! 2 Bombay gin and 1 Sx on the Beach are perfect to end your day fine while watching Tokyo2020!

Good place, good company.

Going downhill, ordered a burger and got an average burger with a pathetic side of chips. They were hard, chewy and cold so sent the meal back. The chips must have been microwaved and came back hard, chewy and warm but by that time the burger was cold. Normally this place is good but we have found a really good place so probably won't be back.

$230 for 4 adults 2 children, 3 of the meals were sirloin.

A great meal, small price to pay for some priceless whanau time.

The place was busy, the atmosphere lovely and casual.

Had dinner there and my food was perfectly cooked. Service was great also. You get what you pay for
