Must say I’m SO IMPRESSED with this new company to the market! I commented on their page a couple of weeks ago >>> questioning the wisdom of retaining any of the reputation of the company they have replaced/bought out? My experience with Aquatechnics (the previous company) was NOT GOOD! Had new pool installed in 2015, and subsequent failures to replace expensive equipment that failed had been an ongoing battle! A week ago I received a call from Chris - apparently the new owner of Pool Shop. He listened to my problems AND then committed to supplying me with a brand new SWIM JET MOTOR! Amazing on his part, and a clear sign that HIS company stands behind the products they supply — more than that, it shows he clearly understands the value of GOOD SERVICE & SATISFIED CLIENTS! Well done Chris and Pool Shop — you will definitely be my choice for pool supplies and services from now on!

The pool install was fine but after sales support under warranty has been terrible. Very quickly told warranty is managed via Australia & 2 years later I’m still no better off. The Australian warranty provider never responds to emails or phone calls, repeated broken promises & even direct contact to the Managing Director has not helped me sort my situation. They can’t even respond to advise me of who in NZ can help me - so frustrated & have given up.

Before Xmas she helped me sorted out an issue with my pool after she had just gone on leave and could have easily not have replied to my desperate text - but she did and guided me through to a successful outcome.

This is the place to go for expert advice on pools. Their friendly team really know their stuff. Good prices in chemicals and consumables plus free water testing. Recommended.

Great service, staff knowledgeable & friendly, gets busy in summer time but worth the wait. Not sure why people feel the need to put nasty comments online -you need to see the facts from both parties not hearsay. The pool shell is manufactured in Australia by Aquatic Leisure. If you talk to the manager there she will clarify your concerns. If you have worked in the building or construction industry theres delays of some sort.

Just popped in for the first time to buy all necessary consumables for a spa. They had everything needed, inc.the right filters etc, great help and super friendly staff!

A family member got given a delivery timeline, the moment the deposit was paid they pushed out delivery meaning the whole project would stall if a new supplier wasn’t found. They kept the deposit.

Don’t give these cowboys money.

Based on our experience with Aqua Technics we'd recommend going to Swimart. Our experience: In 2020 we bought a place that came with a pool so we're pool owner newbies. We tried 3x to get Aqua Technics to send someone to service the equipment & clean the pool before we gave up. The technicians complained they never got messages from the front desk. Swimart came immediately, no issues. Advice on another issue had the Aqua Technics front desk telling us that we might need the chlorinator replaced. Swimart front desk quickly worked out the issue - just low salt.

We have been trying to get some service from Aquatechnics since Feb 21. Our 7yr old pool has a crack (and is under warranty). Every time we speak to them they tell us they are ‘talking to Australia about a course of action’ but nothing has happened yet. They don’t reply to emails, and avoid phone calls. Aquatechnics - please help us

I had a pool installed by Aqua Technics 2 years ago and recently sold my property. Buyers need to be aware that the so called pool lifetime warranty is not transferable. This is not explained anywhere in their contract or on their website. Also trying to get a resolution to this was a nightmare. Rang 6 different staff members including managers and no one returned my calls. I was told numerous times ' its not my department'. Post install customer service is appalling. Buyer beware. Once they get your money they disappear.

Wow.terrible, do not use this company. Brian Hoffman and Sue Stevens have terrible business practices. Overcharge and make threats. Communication horrendous, hope fully people read these reviews. They need to be stopped

Great service from these guys. The nice old guy on a Saturday showed us around the displays and encouraged us to take a swim which our daughter did. The sales girls helped us immensely when deciding what sanitisation system we should get. We ended up having an Aqua Technics pool installed by their dealer in the Waikato. Absolutely love the pool, wouldn’t want it any other way.

Wounderful place to get started for a new home pool, and many other amazing bits and pieces for spas, luxury salts.
Highly recommend.

We are very happy with the actual pool however the service was poor throughout the process. I feel they are very good at selling and good at a pool drop however, not much else. Continually had to chase for answers and service was slow. They are very good at blaming others rather than working together.
I would not use Aqua Technics again.

Really great pool but really poor service, especially from the owner Brian who does not seem to care about customer service at all.

When quoting staff told me in writing a crane not needed but on then the day the pool arrived Brian told me I needed a crane. Was told I needed to pay the extra $5k or the pool would just be left sitting on my driveway forever.

Installers came 1 day early and they didn't tell council. Council turned up when pool half filled. Installers ran away and left to me to sort out because they did not want to deal with the problem.

Staff never came back to finish commissioning the pool. Luckily have had pools before so could do myself.

Won't be buying from Aqua Technics again.

I am so very surprised of what you have said about Brian Hoffman. Brian was Awesome installed our pool 2 months ago and was professional lovely to deal with. Brian and his team came in 2 days and finished and followed up with the handover obviously you must have rubbed him up the wrong way.
