Archie's Restaurant & Pizzeria

Perhaps the second best pizza I ever had. Pasta was delicious and so did lamb cutlets. A Sunday afternoon lunch when you feel like some wood-fired pizza and keen to travel 24kms for it. Believe me it won’t disappoint you. Nice weather and you approach restaurant and owner welcomes you with greetings. Waitress provide you with menu and water, seems little unwelcoming but this can be ignored. You go through intense menu on pizzas and pastas. You also don’t want to offend staff and owner with unusual request about their food. However you still ask your waitress about a mix and match of pasta sauce and meat and she advised it can be done. Food arrives pretty quick and it turns out to be soooo delicious. Everything on table is exceptionally good. You again encounter the same waitress which is more comfortable now and more helpful. When you done and you couldn’t finish you ask for doggy bag and some other Waitress and she helped you for it and pack it very nicely. Price was not toooo bad as compare to other places. 5 starts to everything including service…keep it up

Super good. A nice location, conveniently located within the city. The size of their garlic bread and pizza were huge! I ordered the seafood pizza and they put full fillets of fish on it. It was super filling. I even took most of it home.

Wonderful, the atmosphere at Archie's is beautiful along with the staff and food. I highly recommend Archie's one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

This is my 2nd visit to this restaurant in 12 years. We had an average meal the first time around but because we were a group of 10, we decided to give it another go! Went this evening with my wife and daughter. We waited 40mins for 2 starters and it was an hour before our mains arrived. The food, was at best medicore. Soggy pizza with mushy tomatoes, a very uninspiring cajun chicken salad and a bowl of Carbonara. Our waitress was lovely but the service was inattentive. Not sure how people can rate this as 'great food', I can only assume they've not had a decent pizza or pasta. Sorry but this was not a great experience x2!

The service and staff are wonderful, small quaint place with absolutely divine food. They did not have all the ingredients to make a drink that I want it. They went out and purchase all the ingredients and made a drink. Just perfect for owner and service is absolutely great.

My whole family loves this place and we go often. Standards never slip. Lovely food and lovely people.

Made pizza second to another that ordered after by at least half the time it takes to make. I don’t appreciate it as a paying customer… 30 minute wait.

We went in today to find a subtle upgrade of the the furnishings and paint job, that makes it now a perfect establishment. The food and service is still filled with honesty, care, passion and above all the lost art of genuinely talking to a customer with a sense of familiarity and care. Pure class act again.

Pure experience. There is nothing fake about this place and it knows it. We took our 2 children to their first Italian restaurant and we were not disappointed. (Their child plan is actually just beautiful. If you haven't looked it up, do!) The very young wait staff are some of the best I have come accross- well trained in the flow of service and the need for clear communication. There are many businesses that could learn from this model in general.
The owner was a fine balance in crowd pleaser and consumate professional. His confidence was reflected in the food: Exquisite simplicity and unpronounced complexity. His understanding of letting a patron taste the food before seasoning with pepper (that was exceptionally cared for) was perfect.
One of the best dining experiences I have had.ever. Its humble yet confident.
We are already looking up the menu for next weekend. Bravisimi

Food so good that we booked tickets back to Auckland just to have it again. Never been in a restaurant where you can just feel they cooked straight from the love in their souls…Couldn’t recommend them more!

OMG.after several tries, we finally got a booking on the day we could visit Archie's.
Fantastic experience, almost felt we were in a pizzeria in Napoli!
Superb authentic Italian food, great portions. The staff recommendation from the menu was just so good.
Happy and super helpful staff inspite of the restaurant being full on a Wednesday night.

Awesome for kids as they can get pizza dough to play with while you’re waiting for your yummy food

Food is consistently good and the size of the portions is good. Their drinks are also great and a good size for your money

I used eat here, with a mate of mine actually my barber Andre Gonzales and still is, from 4years ago, family well owned & operationed Italian restaurant. I think this place is the best pizza around newmarket. I wouldnt mind taking my partner here as a date lunch or a dinner date.
