ASB Waterfront Theatre reviews
76Lovely place overall. You wouldn't go bored here nor hungry. Can be cold. Be sure to bring a hoodie jacket when outside.
We saw Orpheus here. The theatre was spacious and impactful and ill be back for switzerland
Great theatre. Great location. Good toilets. Bar and snacks available. Seating in theatre ensures everyone can see the stage. Good parking nearby.
ASB Waterfront Theatre is a great venue. Seating all has good views and the bar has a nice selection of drinks and yummy snacks.
Looking quite classy these days. Staff always helpful. Could have done with another person on the counter.
Always a pleasant experience going to the Waterfront Theatre. Most recently they've been screening NZ International Film Festival movies. Comfy seats, good leg room. Helpful friendly staff. Great new theatre.
Great venue. Attended several functions held by The University of Auckland and also screenings from the NZ International Film Festival. Friends also tell me great spot for theatre performances.
A beautiful theatre with an attractive, modern interior design. I liked the rake of the seating and the stage visibility was excellent. I saw "King Lear" here and it was a well-realised production.
I've lived in Auckland for 9 years and this is the first time I've been inside. Taking away the excellent show I went to see (North by Northwest), the theatre is really good. Plenty of space to meet and have a drink, the seating is comfortable, the toilets are clean and gender flexible. Really impressed.
Was soooo much fun! To be honest I never hear anyone my age group saying they are going to the theatre but they should because it is lit! I watched north west something like that and it was 10/10. If you are sitting at the back do bring a jumper as it is very cold.
Narrow old seats, car parking some 500m away, and the bar staff clueless, half of them standing watching and not serving. It's like a throwback to the 80s.
Lovely venue however we parked just down the road at Wilson's and $25 for just over 2 hours is excessive. Enjoyed our evening
Geat venue. Media Design School Graduation, fabulous location.ferried to city from West Harbour, 10 min walk to venue.
Great show, North by Northwest great actors, especially Antonia Prebble. Wonderful front of house staff.
Nice Theatre, saw a 2 hour play there. Seats a bit uncomfortable, bum started to hurt after a while. Feel like the seats on the floor up the front should be more on a decline. Hard to see past the people infront of you. Still enjoyed the show.
Great space, in a lovely seaside spot in Auckland city. Modern, fun archietect housing a spacious theatre.
We were at ASB to catch the musical, Cats. We paid for parking & it wasn't what I expected!: (Parking is a good 5 minute walk away & it rained heavily after the musical! I had an umbrella which was useless with the strong wind. IF only ASB had a parking deal with the Park Hyatt opposite! The theatre is smallish, no orchestra pit. Not exactly what I expected.
Amazing space to enjoy whatever is happening there. Nice to be able to take your drink in acrylic glass to the theater to enjoy. Beautiful location by the water. This space should be used more and more for hosting events for everyone's pleasure.
Very nice theatre. Good seating areas, good service at the bar/cafe and they have a lift if you need help to get up to the 2nd or 3rd level. The seating where we were (on level 3) was comfortable with enough leg room.
