Auckland Fish Market reviews
56Great spot to find fresh fish. They sell fish fillets by the 100g so you can order a bunch of fish to try and have one of it local vendors cook it up for you. It was $7 / 100g to have whatever fish you picked picked out cooked. They have the very difficult to find Chilean seabass
A very convenience place to hang out with families and friends. Good varieties of food and so tasty.
Smelt it B4 I saw it.
Like a cheap working gal it serviced me well.
Excellent food.
Would smash it back again
Can be a bit hit and miss, but choose the right food place and you're good. And there are a few. It's a fun place to have lunch, and they can handle your work group.
Everything looks yummy here. Wanted to try the fish and chips but the kindhearted staff told me it’s contain beer coz she aware that I’m a muslim. Thank you for your concerned. Need to find halal food for myself so I get the fried squid w chips and oysters from the next shop.
It's like a food court, so you can casually enjoy chips and chips.
If you want to eat well, I think restaurants along the coast are better.
The price was normal.
Was really impressed with the fresh quality of fish and the good variety of different food stores improvements could be made around access ability for mobility devices as there are steps on one side of the building with no ramp and a large lip in the floor to navigate on the other side with a couple of steps making it challenging for a wheelchair to navigate inside
The oysters where fresh. Unfortunately the prawns must have been frozen when peeling feel apart. Not the cheapest in price. The team are friendly and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Live music out in the seating area.
Came for a walk in the viaduct to get some fnc for lunch there was a takeaway small booth at AFM beside the parking it was my first time visiting as shown in the photo it says eat at the source so I do have a bit of high expectations to the food fnc was not in the menu but the lady mentioned they could do it so got some whitebait bap and fnc the bread for the whitebait is not even toasted the whitebait was cold the chips was crunchy the fish didn't taste fresh the breading wasn't something I would personally prefer it was underwhelming maybe because of the lockdown I might come when they fully open and try again.
What a fantastic place. Excellent variety of fresh fish and seafood. Staff extremely knowledgeable and will help you decide if you don't know what you want. Heaps of cool little eateries amongst the market. Parking nearby is easy to find and free for the first two hours.
So disappointing! Ordered 2 fish & chips and 1 grilled fish only to discover when I got home we were 1 fish & chip short! Does not make for a happy family
For a quick bite, it's sorait. More of the same kind of dining fare you'd get anywhere else in the city - mid end food court style. $12 for 10x mussels with your choice of sauce.
Great choices of ready to eat and also fresh fish to take home and cook Worthwhile a visit when you're in Auckland next
Siomai at Azabu is superb. 7 star quality for a very good price. We’ll certainly come back for more.
Food is a bit expensive and tastes below average. Updated for “market gallery”on Easter Friday 2021: very tiny piece of crispy salmon with little salad costs over $24 incl.service charge, had to wait approx 15 minutes. No good experience.
I absolutely love the fish markets the oysters are amazing lobster rolls raw fish great hot chips great vibe an amazing range of alcoholic drinks
We enjoy a sunday lunch trip here where we can have a 15dollar fish and chips and the market fish arepa. Fun for our kid who enjoys the playground and the interactive water play area close to the fish market. We also get seafood here when we can.
This place changed a lot since I last been here. Now it is very modern and hip looking. Really nice seafood and restaurants. The people who works there are very knowledgeable as well.
Perfect spot
Only question now and is a big one
Why shut down seafood cooking school
Such a huge loss and open to kids as well
Head office could do very well revising this move
Allowing sharing of skills promotions to kids and wide public on wonders of fish must be wonderful ongoing rewards
With school open this place gets 4.5 stars
. 5 is always room for improvement
