Got a towbar for my Tesla Model Y. Great service, well priced, high quality NZ made lockon towbar, and most importantly, Regan arrived with a decade of towbar install experience having installed hundreds on the Tesla by itself, and did it quickly and efficiently.

Also have a much cheaper option without ECU wiring if only using for bike racks, etc.

Great company to deal with. Easy to book on line and loads of communication from them. I had an issue and the owner came out and sorted everything straight away. I will definitely use Auckland Towbars again.

Was very pleased with mobile service in Orewa. Quick efficient and towbar looks great on Casper, my precious AD van. Great friendly communication from office. $400 cheaper that lowest quote in Whangarei. Highly recommended!

Service was good but should have asked us what we wanted the towbar for. We were only asked when we booked if we wanted a fixed or removable one. We asked what the difference for it was and was inly told of the obvious difference - one is removable and one is not. They didn't even ask what we wanted the towbar for so we could make the right decision. We weren't warned that it wouldn't fit the purpose that we wanted it for - a towbar for a bike rack and to maybe put a trailer. Unable to find a bike rack that would fit the nonremovable one. Asked them if we could change the towbar to a removable for a bike rack and was told it would cost another $800 or we can get someone else to engineer an adaptor for us (which I don't feel safe with). Very disappointed with the overall service to be honest. 2 stars as the work for the towbar & roof rack was quick & you definitely can't remove (towbar) it for sure.

Might want to invest in a portable vacuumed cleaner to vacuum up the metal bits other then then that ok.

I literally just had Shane from Auckland Towbars install my Tow bar for me here at my workplace and I am so stoked and impressed with the install! Shane was awesome and very professional explaining every relevant detail to me. Even when booking with the office team on the phone, they are a bunch of friendly and delightful people to deal with. I will definitely use their service again for my next car and I highly recommend their service to anyone needing a tow bar!

Amazing service from these guys. They gave me a few options for tow bars and prices and fitted us in quickly. 30mins to fit the tow bar (without wiring) Super friendly. I would highly recommend these guys. Thank you so much.

I had a mixed experience. I was very happy with the installation, but subsequently found out that they had fitted a standard NZ 47mm towball that was impossible to remove without the help of a mechanic with specialist tools. Auckland Towbars wouldn’t help, unless I paid them a $115 call out fee (despite the fact that they do jobs all over the city) or drove to Avondale. In the end, a helpful mechanic from Hillside Automotive in Wairau Valley swapped the 47mm ball to a 50mm ball, which took 5 minutes, and was free of charge. My advice, if you get a towbar fitted, is to know in advance whether you need a 47mm or 50mm ball. Auckland Towbars didn’t bring this to my attention upfront, and that would have been helpful.

Nice service, but somehow the plug was installed a bit high which makes it not as good looking. Otherwise all good.

Auckland Towbars are the absolute best I booked in for a home based fitting and they came to me and installed the towbar in just under and hour. Sam from Auckland Towbars was super friendly super efficient and did a great job. The easiest car service of any kind I have done. So convenient and amazing I would give it over 5 stars if I could.

I had a job booked in hamilton from the towbar guy hamilton. Tried to book it on line but it wouldn't take my rego which was a bit annoying. Due Wednesday but the installer got covid. Reschedule for Friday, with Sam from Auckland Towbars. Arrived nice and early, got straight to work, I felt for him in the storm but between his van door and the carport he stayed dry. Job completed in 2 hours, he even put on a shin guard and silver cap. Great job professional service, and a nice polite fella as a bonus. Would thoroughly recommend.

Pretty good value $520 inc Gst, wiring, towball and cover. Thought there would be a catch but no. The guy came early was friendly. I had a quote from a South Auckland wrecker for a Demio towbar for $800 and I would have had to install it myself. Said I would think about it after I got your quote!
