I've been going to Auto Shop Stoddard Road for over 10 years (even since I've moved out West). Andrew, Danica and the team are awesome. Fantastic service - they've really looked after my car over the years (which is probably why it lasted as long as it did!) - and they always give me a thorough explanation about what needed to be done (which for a person who has no clue about cars, is much appreciated). I've always recommended this team to anybody who is looking to get their car serviced.

As someone who knows very little about cars, I need a mechanic who I trust and Andrew and the friendly team at Stoddard Road definitely meet that criteria.

Communication is always clear and transparent. Issues are explained simply and they are always happy to discuss options, e.g, for second hand parts vs new, and whether fixes can wait until the next service.

I'm sure you could find a cheaper mechanic but I'm also sure you could find a more expensive one so I'll take the one I trust will do the right thing and keep me safe on the road.

Got the new tyres from Hyper Drive so booked them for fitting, rotation and alignment. All the work was done well and good, no issues regarding that.

The rims were wrapped black matte. And they have damaged the wrapping on the rear rims and the wrapping is off from several spots. So not happy with it.

Went here for a WOF as my normal mechanic was on holiday. Failed WOF for minor issues that are not on WOF checklist. Offered to fix the issue at my cost in order to pass the warrant. Received WOF from another mechanic with no issues - obviously a busy mechanic not trying to blackmail owners into doing unnecessary repairs. Would never use and never recommend.

Went for a WOF at Auto Super Shoppe toward the end of last year, where they told me I had to replace an engine mount bracket and a power steering hose (which was strange to me, as I'd replaced it 3 years prior) to pass. They quoted me almost $2000 for these repairs, but said it could increase further depending on labor. No mention of the squeak I could hear or the wobble from my front left tyre.
I decided to get a 2nd opinion at AA, who said that neither of those problems existed in my car. They walked me through and showed me that the bracket would easily last years and that the power steering hose wasn't leaking, but did have some residual fluid on it.
AA said I needed to have the front left shock and tyre replaced due to damage - lo and behold, the wobble and squeak are gone now. Only cost me a third of what Auto Super quoted me too.
Honestly feel like I was being fleeced right before Christmas with quotes for repairs that didn't exist and overlooked actual issues with the car. Definitely won't be recommending their services and looking through the reviews, some other people have had the exact same experience. Infuriating

Took my car in for a mysterious gearbox issue. They diagnosed it and came back to me with a list of repa and explained everything. Prices were very reasonable and vehicle back on the road within a couple of days. Fantastic service, plus got some yum chocolate cause it's near Xmas. Thanks Stoddard!

Have my car in, honestly lovely people and they let us know the costs of everything. Only one trouble is that I haven't been getting updated on the work on my vehicle and it's been in there for awhile. I would call up every few days and they always tell me they will call me back, but I never receive a call back.

Great customer service and excellent workmanship. Always willing to help, honest and transparent with their invoices.

Took my car in for a WOF. Not in my wildest dreams I would have imagined that a pristine looking car that has an excellent service history would incur such additional costs!
Reasons to fail WOF - BS!

I took it straight to VTNZ and passed WOF with flying colours with not even a single issue was found that would fail WOF.

DO-NOT-EVER-GO-TO-THIS-PLACE for any service whatsoever, unless you have so much money to give away for free!

Let me throw in an addition trade secret these guys do. So you take your car for a WOF, they will find a million reasons to fail your wof, enter it on there system and put a stamp on your wof sheet that would say “Entered” and ONLY THEN come tell you these million things need fixing before we can pass you!
No way out coz’ it’s already on the system unless you have good contacts elsewhere.

Such an amazing place. I have had my Holden repaired twice and have had no issues on both my visits. Super quick, straight to the point and excellent communication. Not once did I have to call to check up on my vehicle, Shannon did an amazing job at keeping me updated. Every single staff is so friendly. The team does know how to look after their customers. I will definitely recommend your workshop to friends and family.

I felt dispointed for the workshop reception's staff. They didn't give us a quota at the begining and promised will let us know later before any fee will applied. It ends up to the unhappy results which we need to pay again during the warranty period.
Luckily the owner Mr Andrew promised to investage this mistake and also trying to fix it even after we made the payment. We are appreciate the owner trying to fix the problems and treating the customer fairly. Keeping the royalty relationship from the customer are the important way to be a successful business.

Worst place for WOF, very dishonest people trying to earn your money. If you check another place can pass but here you will not and told to fix many things

Had my ute have the same service this company did and paid 400 dollars less.
Totally ripped off
