82Extremely poor service, rang to get a claims number for 3rd party incident was on the phone for 2 hours. Woman did not no English and could not understand a word said. Very frustrating for a simple phone call I will be changing my insurance company. Excess was extremely height.
Great to get yourself covered when buying a used car. Good policy and up to 3 years mechanic cover!
Great finance company. I have now had 2 finance agreements with this company. They are professional in every way they do things. I highly recommend anyone seeking finance to go with this company

Currently having a terrible experience with AutoSure. AutoSure is so onto it while selling the insurance, but when it comes to claims; they are the worst. I bought EXTREMEPLUS policy and spent around 8K on insurance. My car is having a mechanical breakdown that needs (Breather valve done/Injectors cleaned and re-sealed, also requires the intake manifold cleaned due to this issue). My insurance is asking me to pay half of the cost for cleaning the manifold ie 2000 NZD. This is ridiculous. I bought the insurance for my peace of mind but it feels AutoSure has given me stress instead. I have been without a car for nearly a month now, and it has costed me a lot of $$money to travel to work and loss of time. At the end they are asking me to pay half; What a joke! If there were negative star reviews i would have happily given that.
Just spent 30 minutes on hold trying to reach your vero team regarding something I asked you to call me back on two days ago. After seeing other peoples reviews I am getting worried. I will send an email later tonight, if I dont get an appropriate response I will change this to a one star.
Edit: Vero responded early Monday to my query and this review post, and have since pledged to solve my issue. Thank you, John, for getting back to me and helping me resolve this issue promptly.
Autosure provided great service and support when I recently purchased car insurance. Highly recommended.
All fun until you need to use it. They don't contact you when your policy is due to expire. And if you purchase a longer period of time for cover and you either sell your car or worse it's stolen they won't refund you for that policy you have prepaid for. No wonders they have a low score for insurance coverage. Least more substantial insurance providers refund you for policy paid out if you no longer have car. Only really helpful for SOME medical repairs PROVIDED you keep a regular service ever 10,000kms.
Although we haven't had to make a claim thus far, this is the second car we have used Autosure for. We wanted peace of mind in case something went wrong with the battery.
I was with Autosure when I first brought my vehicle. Everything was good until the end of 2019 when I went to make a claim on my broken windscreen only to find out my policy had been transferred to another provider (Vero insurance) without my knowledge. Under the new provider I no longer had free window repairs so I ended up paying excess on this repair which wasn't cheap. A few months ago my transmission died and then I found out I no longer had mechanical breakdown insurance. After giving me the run around for 2 months it became clear that no one was going to try and help me and I have sold my vehicle as the cost of repair was too high for me. Definitely don't use these guys and make sure you read all the fine print clearly. Ask questions, and get everything in writing or on record before signing anything.
After being told by just about everyone that I wouldn't get cover for my Bentley Continental, You guys covered it, not only for three years but at a great price too. Many thanks Autosure
The dealer explained the relevant parts of the policy and coverage well. For my new car, all seems to be well worthwhile.
Had a mechanical breakdown, was left stranded and had to find a vehicle to borrow for 2 weeks while I drove all over nz for work. No assistance given there.
Two known faults happend in the cooling system but was charged two separate excess to have them fixed even tho the dealer deemed them to be the same issue.
I think they would be fine with simple issues but as soon as they see a chance to pull one over you they will. I'm a mechanic myself, no way it should be two claims.
It is good to have atosura just incase i have Mechanical breakdown side road not that had one yet im a sure it is helpful
Ultimately i absolutely loved the service i received and everything was explained clearly. I felt like i was supported through the process of acquiring my loan however the one thing i would improve was timing, initially i had quite the wait before the process even began.
Hi, I have not yet experienced using Autosure. There seems to be mixed reviews for pro's/con's. I hope my experience has a stress-free and positive outcome. Im half/half 2.5 stars

A mechanic did not claim repairs done to my vehicle but Autosure understood my concerns when I called them to investigate.
The mechanic carried out the repairs but did not follow claims processes as set out in the Gold Policy documents which I sent to the mechanic before the repairs were made. I asked the mechanic number of times over the phone before repairs, during repairs, after repairs, and paying for the repairs, if they were insured but they were not claimable according to the mechanic. I called Autosure to investigate whether the mechanic called them to claim on the repairs but they had not done so. Autosure reimbursed me following my concerns because the parts were claimable and insured under the Gold Policy.

I can recommend Autosure from personal experience. They respond quickly and I never had any reasons for complaints.
I have never had to deal with insurance before so when I had to this time I was cynical (even though I had all the service records), perhaps also having read ‘The Rainmaker’ by John Grisham, I was mentally preparing for the long haul! But what a surprise - from day 1, Autosure was reassuring. When the workshop that was going to fix my car took a while, Peter from Autosure called me and arranged to tow the car to another workshop that could fix it fast. Throughout the process, Peter was happy to receive calls and answer all questions and went the extra mile to help every way he could. Such a pleasure dealing with this company and especially Peter - no second thoughts on doing business with them again!
