Avoid Alex Wright & after reading the other horrific reviews I'd avoid this place altogether.

I have been going to physio here about every 2 weeks for over a year & probably will require physio for the rest of my life.

Lovely staff & treatment I have been receiving here, can't thank them enough (:

I had waited almost two months to be contacted for a referral. Called myself they advised me they would contact me once referral was triaged. Once I received text to book was advised I would have to wait another month for appointment. Ridiculous

Literally did nothing to help me, a year later and I still have the same issues with my foot. If you want to be prescribed a bunch of anti inflammatory
meds and see a physio who does quite literally nothing then these are the guys for you.

Outrageously expensive for the privilege of not having any issues sorted.

Thank you Dr Chrish Hanna for helping my son for his knee recovery. Very sound knowledge and experience.

Super helpful and knowledgeable specialists.
They have helped me with super clear instructions and a sensible path forward. They referred me for an MRI to check that there was nothing contraindicating the treatment programme and that surgery was not required. The treatment plan was checked by two separate specialists for expert advice and care plan.
I was well accommodated with appointment times despite how busy they are and was able to do an online video appointment with simple intuitive software.

Really disappointed with the lack of communication, engagement and misleading and confusing instructions and to top it off, when I sought clarity and information the receptionist contradicted herself, shouted down the phone at me then hung up. Obviously they earn too much money to care about patients wellbeing or provide any degree of bedside manner. 3 months and no closer to getting help with my knee. I'm going to have to seek help somewhere else.

I want to thank all the Axis Sports Team, especially Dr Julie Shamlaye, for her warm, professional, and caring service. I did ALL the process online, and still, she managed to bring her best guidance and information for my recovery. I noticed clear communication, clever use of the technology, teamwork with my physiotherapist and GP, + fantastic follow-up. I appreciate your incredible support. Please, stay safe and happy: -D

Love this place (despite the injuries!). I have been twice- once for each knee - the first time a referral to one doctor James McGarvey and the second time to the acute knee clinic where i saw Chris Hanna. Quick contact and appointment bookings, including via VMR during lockdown, quick MRI and surgical referrals and even a phone call from the Dr to follow up a query about plasma therapy down the track. I recommend Axis to all as an efficient, professional and trustworthy clinic of sports specialists. Emma

Excellent immediate service correcting a wrong treatment for rapture rapture Achilles tendon. The team went above and beyond providing professional care. Strongly recommending to all injured patients to visit this clinic and trust the doctors there. Thank you

My mum went in for PRP treatment with Dr Simon Kim and the whole procedure was a disaster from start to finish - not that it actually occurred. To begin with the Dr expressed his lack of confidence in the simple task of taking her blood by explaining that once he had taken her blood "the hard part would be over". He sat her on the edge of a high bed and as soon as the needle entered her skin she began to feel faint and lost conciousness - nearly falling off the bed had I not caught her. She is not prone to fainting spells nor is she afraid or needles/blood (she has never had issues with blood being taken before either). After lying her down (as she should have been in the first place) Dr Kim attempted to take her blood 8 times and was unsuccessful. We discussed our options with Dr Kim and I suggested that mum ate something and drank some more fluids before trying again. Dr Kim was clearly very relucant but agreed and upon our return he was again unsuccessful in taking blood and pretty much sent us on our way and only commented that mum had been his "most difficult patient" yet. Overall, this was just one of many bad experiences we have had at Axis Sports Medicine and as a RN myself it was shocking to see this behaviour from a "professional" with 20 years of field experience. Today we saw another practitioner for PRP and he took her blood first time and the whole procedure ran smoothly. Furthermore, the receptionist had terrible phone manners, was incredibly un-empathetic and we also recieved mixed information about the recovery period.

Have a severe lower back injury and sent them a referral letter 2 weeks ago, still have not received any response yet. Now they are apparently closed until New Years and I have not been able to receive any treatment let alone a reply back. A simple reply or acknowledgement would have been fine but the fact that my gp had referred me to these people and I have gone weeks without a response is pretty atrocious, a simple reply back saying my referral had been processed would have been very nice, but I had no response and do not believe I will get one any time soon.

I called them earlier to confirm if my referral was sent through and they said it was but they still haven’t processed it yet, though they somehow had the time during the call to go on their email to check my previous letter, yet 2 weeks wasn’t enough time to simply “process” the referral

Anyone looking for effective treatment please go somewhere else where they will actually respond. Don’t waste your time here please.

Dr Chris Hanna is brilliant!

He found two mechanical injuries, explained the injuries to me well also provided great treatment options on how to get better which are working.

He is very easy to speak to, he listens, he is extremely supportive in assisting in any other way he can to getting better and providing additional information if required.

He leaves no stone unturned, he is A magnificent specialist.

I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Generally well run outfit. Have only had to wait once for specialists. Specialists sometimes can forget who you are but the receptionists are really nice and too the EPAT nurse. Note have just rung the office and they don't answer after 4pm. Which means that the opening hours could be different, hence they are not open til 6pm.
