Terrible experience. The auctioneer was by far one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. Absolute tool. These muppets are the reason agents have such a bad name. I look forward to seeing the property crash and these clowns being forced to get real jobs 0/10

B&T, Epsom has been our property manager since 2002. The team are professional in their dealing, not only with landlord but also with the tenants, as well the tradies and utilities providers. They are well versed with the Tenancies Act, and promptly communicate to us of any changes in the Act.

Melody is an excellent property Sales agent. She provided me an accurate and honest marketing information. She sold my property in less than two weeks within my price expectation. She is thorough and even go out of her way to advise me how to present my property which makes it appealing to prospective buyers. I never know her before but I pick her to sell my house based on previous feedback I read in the Barfoot and Thompson website and I never regretted my decision.

It was awful I went there to look and maybe to bid and they wouldn't allow me in. There answer was that they would only allow people in who would making definite bids. The house I was looking at did get sold but I would have been willing to made a higher bid than it went for. Thank god these people are not selling my house

A very average website. It was difficult to navigate and wasn't particularly user friendly. I spent far longer than anticipated trying to find information on auctions than i expected. I'd strongly recommend that they spend some time and money getting the website up to speed and having it more intuitive. Given these guys are a multi billion dollar business you would expect better.

Approached them as a buyer. Very Poor and questionable processes and customer service standards followed at the grassroot level by their Pukekohe office under branch manager Nick Bates and sales manager Hirini. And when their agents action were escalated - it went on to be supported by the complaints manager Priya Patel by taking into account only those factors that supported their actions. With such type of complaint handling staff in place it became very clear why things are so bad here.

"Big does not always mean the best". I will suggest that one goes for the other so called smaller real estate agencies. They probably still have the capability and willingness of looking beyond just earning money.

Honestly, we are 4 graduated students who are just looking for place to stay in Auckland and received huge mess from "lovely" agent Carlie Walker from Barfoot & Thompson. Called and informed that my friends will behalf of myself to view apartment and received "oh it's okay your friends can view, no issue", we applied our form on Wednesday 07/08/2019 and rang her to confirm that she received it and reviewed it as we will shortly move in on 15/08. The answer is greatly well done "Oh, I am currently on viewing at the moment and not back to my office till Monday 12/08" (Thursday and Friday just for viewing). I told her I will call back on Monday and could her check if we need anything on Monday. I was waiting until 2.30pm next Monday just for her phone since the morning but nothing back, I rang her and guessed what, this time it p*ssed me off, " Oh, because four of you gonna stay in that apartment so I need all four of you to view as well, the others two already viewed but two haven't". My friends already informed her that 4 of us will stay there and she said okay if all four of us agree with it. She said due to our policy and procedures blah blah blah, excuse me this but you have the whole Monday morning since 2.30 pm and how much cost for you to call us to inform about our case? Big no no with Barfoot and Thompson next time, highly recommended somewhere else, not with this agent when the agent will look over application and viewing on the same duty, your application gonna takes ages.

Updated: Been informed the application is unsuccessful in the next day, wow, everyone can guess what was happened (rude, unprofessional, careless replies to us just because we are not the chosen one, haha)

Went there as a vendor, parking is a hassle or expensive, suggest that park and ride to britomart is a good idea. The staff are very helpful with getting you sorted into the rooms around the Auction floor but if you want to hear what's happening you may need to find the speaker controls and adjust the sound system.

Nice somewhat modern building with very stylish auction rooms. The auction software is pretty old and I hear the new one is amazing. Can't wait!

Beware! Beware!
How to get a Bond returned when even CEO Wendy Alexander won't help? Barfoot & Thompson have tenants who are being threatened and harassed by your landlord - can I provide you some screenshots of the aggressive text messages? Thank you for reading.

Nice building with up to date facilities. Main auction house. Some off street parking if you're lucky, white expensive as is in the city centre. Wilson Carpark nearby

I used to work here and loved it. Great people. Family culture. World award winning and local market share leading real estate agency.

The site of a weekly residential property auction, probably the biggest in Auckland.

Nearly always too crowded.
