Barefoot and Thompson have been incredible over the past few weeks! I could not recommend them more. I work for an insurance claims management company and due to the natural disasters in New Zealand, we’ve had to bring international staff into the country to assist. With the lack of accommodation in Auckland, we’ve had to secure numerous long term rentals. Tracey, Jess and Sandra have gone out of their way to assist us and have helped us secure numerous properties over the past 2 weeks! They have not only been quick to respond but have been willing to set up apartments, quick to help order furniture and just so friendly throughout the process. They have really made a huge difference for our business and we are so grateful for their support and assistance.

I have been dealing with Tracy Boyle and Jess Tansey from Barfoot in the city for just on twelve months. We were in the process of settling on a new apartment when I first made contact with them. Their professional approach through the whole process of helping furnish the apartment, through to finding tennants was at the highest level. We live in England and own a residential property in Epsom, Auckland which comprises six purpose-built two bedroom units.
This property has been managed for us by Barfoot & Thompson for several decades, going back to the days when the normal method of communication was international airmail. As non-resident owners who are only able to get to Auckland every few years, we rely on our property managers not only to manage day to day matters, but also to monitor and maintain the building over the long term.
Throughout this time Barfoot & Thompson have been exemplary managers and excellent communicators, which in our situation is essential. When urgent maintenance has been necessary they have attended to it immediately, which even in these days of instant communication gives us complete peace of mind. This has never been more true than now, late 2022, when the property is being excellently managed by Property Manager Alex Reid and Head of Property Management Tracey Boyle.

Thanks to Dan Easter and the team, the whole process from booking the viewing, to picking up the keys for our new home couldn't have gone any smoother!

Communication was great; Dan was there to promptly answer any questions and help us throughout the whole process of moving in. We'd been renting an apartment in the CBD since 2016 if I remember correctly, B&T managing it. Had great experience with them, never had any issues or arguments regarding any fixes or replacements that were required now and then. Our last property manager is amazing (we've left the apartment recently), Alex Reid, can't recommend enough, genuinely nice person and a great professional. BEWARE: auctioneers use dirty tricks to target young and inexperienced buyers to push the price up. Be very careful. I've lost a tonne of respect for this company.
