Rowan is a highly determined and helpful service professional. He has demonstrated to be an individual who goes the extra mile in his job. I recently migrated to NZ and faced alot of difficulty in looking for a rental property for my family and I. In my efforts, I met more than 30 property agents from various property management companies and viewed close to 40 properties in Auckland all within 3 months timeframe. Through my experiance I can honestly say that Rowan is among the best that I have dealt with in Auckland. Well done Rowan!

Great customer service! Their declared mission is 'problem solving', not merely selling or letting agents. They research, consult and attend to the full array of their customer's circumstances and taylor their advice and proposed solution accordingly.

It was good to rent under barefoot mount roskill rowan is such a good person have as your agent.

In the past 18 months I have dealt with 2 different property managers at the Mt Roskill branch. There has been no immediacy to resolve the numerous issues I have experienced at the property I am renting, the communication is unprofessional and management of issues is far more favourable to the landlord than tenant.

Flooding and leaks have been ongoing issues that remain unresolved. The latest response from the property manager is “The property is 100 years old concrete building, water will go through any possible holes within the walls” leaving me to feel I am fighting a losing battle with no option but to explore other options.

Terrible service and a really disappointing experience as a tenant. I won’t be renting through the Mt Roskill branch again.

I totally recommend Barfoot & Thompson for all your reality needs I have been a customer of theirs for 9 years they are very professional in every aspect of dealing with your needs weather your buying or renting so have a chat with their friendly staff you will be happy with the outcome.

I would give this place 0 stars if it allowed me to.

If you're a landlord looking for someone to look after your property do not go to them.

I was with them for 3 years and the first 1.5 years was fine but service started to get bad.

From unreasonable charges to two big incidents - allowing tenants to damage my property without getting them to pay for it. And neglecting my property leading me to fix and replace the kitchen bathroom and laundry due to a leak.

Apart from that powerpoints were broken, windows had cracks and covered by paper by previous tenants, a big hole in the wall due to a fist punch and scribbles by kids on the walls. I have all the photos that the tenants after that took and sent me because they were charged letting fees and the house was dirty and damaged.

I tried complaining to their head office but got the standard reply that they did an investigation and didn't find anything wrong.

I don't know where else to go and so am writing this so other landlords are warned and stop you from experiencing the same.
