Bedstop

I was most impressed when our electric bed stopped working when we moved. My husband was sick in hospital and about to come home and really needed a raised bed. I called Bedstop Target road, where we purchased it from, and they were literally around in an hour to fix our problem. Great generous service which I was so grateful for in our time of need.

We just received our new bed from the Bedstop store in Glenfield and are delighted with it - it is so comfy. Bedstop held our bed in their warehouse until we were ready to move into our new house and it was really easy to organise delivery. On the day, the delivery team’s communication was fantastic and they arrived exactly when they said they would. They even assembled the bed for us as I had a broken hand. Highly recommend.

We went into Bedstop Wairau Park to look at buying a queen bed and mattress for our daughter and a king bed for ourselves. We were there leas than 30 seconds when we were pounced on by am elderly woman with the most stupid question 'what brings you here today? ' Well, it's a bed store, I'm not here to order a hamburger am I? ! I saw a bed I thought our daughter would like and as she wasn't with us, I took photos to send to her so we could get a yay or nay from her. The woman stopped my husband answering her dumb question to snap at me that she didn't allow photos to be taken.why not? What are you hiding? Seems awfully shady. Due to her attitude and ridiculous rule that no other bed stores have (we had already visited 4 others), we walked straight out. We drove up to a store on Link drive and spoke with a very nice man who went thru all options with us and we walked out having bought the 2 beds we were after. The woman's attitude, stupid rule and dodgyness cost Bedstop Wairau several thousand dollars.

Avoid this place unless you LOVE to be haggled. You'd think you're at a car dealership. The lady follows you around to each and every bed you try.how are you supposed to get a true feel for a mattress if someone is staring you down and gives you only 30 seconds with each one while someone is rattling off all the "selling points"? Not to mention the fact that the doors to the store are kept wide open, which makes the environment very noisy and humid (on a rainy day). Overall not a great experience.

The trouble with Bedstop is that they have no clear process to resolve customer complaints. It is a franchise, so if you have a problem with the store there is nowhere central for you to go to resolve issues.

We had 3 problems with our order from the Wellington store (incorrect price, failed to order mattress, and wrong mattress ordered). They wouldn't accept a return on the mattress so we were left with one much too firm. We took it to the person who organised the franchise in Auckland, but did not receive a reply from them.

My advice is that it's not worth the risk.

I didn't purchase anything but got lots of interesting information for when I do. So I'll definitely be back.

Bought my last two beds there. They even had a King Koil super king available for same day delivery. They have (at least had) the best price/quality

Had a great experience here. We purchased a double bed and the customer service was perfect! Colin was a great help, he was patient, enthusiastic, kind and knew exactly what he was doing. He took time to help us with the colours, the sizes and any other questions. If I want to make any other purchases I'll go where he is. The prices were also great.

I looked at other bed stores but came back because Bedstop have the best value and helpful staff. Kim gave me the best advice without being pushy so I highly recommend this store if you want the best bang for your buck.

Recently purchased a King Coil Glamour bed from Bed Stop. Excellent service and very happy with my bed:)

Service in glenfield not great first told we could get king bed delivered same day.then there was a mistake and they didnt have king so it will be delivered later in week, then in week we were told they made a mistake there is no king in the range in stock.so ok we took a queen delivery came 2 days later bed was just dumped in bedroom after we were told in store they will set it up, phoned shop was told they made a mistake (AGAIN) they dont set the beds up as it takes too long.geeeez! After all that messing around least they could do was offer free delivery?

Allan was fantastic at helping me choose a new bed. He was very knowledgeable and asked great questions to assess my needs. He wasn't pushy and welcomed me to come back with my partner and favourite pillow to further check out the bed I liked. Plus the price was fantastic. Some really sharp deals. I totally recommend Allan at Bedstop.

Very helpful and accommodating. Custom made the bed base to our specs as we wanted deeper drawers. Also delivered for extra cost, which was great as we live in a 3 level apartment. Would definitely recommend their services.
