Bivacco reviews
18Good food presented beautifully, but took quite a while to arrive. We had a set menu and there seemed to be long breaks between courses.stunning views from the table while waiting though!
Pate and tiramisu were a highlight, service and atmosphere great, food was nice but not a ton of flavour, lacked seasoning, I'm sure this is the authentic style but won't be rushing back
Really enjoyed my time here- staff were very attentive and food was good. I'd return - especially for the cocktails!
Came here based on a recommendation. Decided to start with a gin martini which came out tasting like dish water so had to be sent back to the bar. The replacement was ok but nothing special. Food came out fairly quickly. We ordered a couple of entrees, some pasta and the pork chop. The entrees were ok generally, especially the arancini which was lovely. The scampi pasta was also good. Sadly the pork chop was a real let down… at $65 we expected something spectacular but were served anything but. The meat was dry and the skin chewy which was a real shame.
Really nice, I enjoyed that they had a little gift bag for the kids and a menu for kids, which was $25 for a drink, mains, and a dessert. The food was great, and I will definitely recommend it.
This is a wonderful place to go with a group of friends. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks before dining.
I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Bivacco.
We ordered from the starters and sides menu to have a selection of things to share. Everything was fresh and tasty, and lovely to look at as well as eat.
Attentive service. Clean restrooms. We
Everything about this place is outstanding.
The staff, the setting, and obviously the food.
Brilliantly designed menu, a fantastic wine/drinks selection.
Cannot wait to return!
Great margaritas! Food is okay, nothing amazing unfortunately I think there are better places in the city. Everything was just super average. Had really high expectations as it seems like the place to be but the food was just so average.
Amazing atmosphere. Friendly and humble wait staff. Good food and after all I would like say thanks for great experienced I had with the best italian restaurant so far I know in Auckland
Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We opted to seat outdoors. For starters we had bluff oysters and mozarella sticks then for the mains we had the goats cheese ravioli, the beef tongue and the mushroom pizza. The goats cheese ravioli is to die for. I can’t count how many times I said it’s so yum. The beef tongue is a must try and the mushroom pizza is definitely a favorite. But the highlight for me is their tiramisu. The presentation and the taste is superb! Such a happy ending for a night’s meal. Staff were friendly and prompt in their service.
Came here as it had been recommended highly on my socials. We got the garlic bread, tuna crudo, Arancini, beef cheeks and sirloin. I had high expectations, overall it was average and there are better places in the cbd. Sirloin was well cooked and the highlight of the meal. I will give credit where it’s due. They do however do the best olive oil ice cream in Auckland. The coconut margarita is probably the worst cocktail I’ve had.
W went there lasr nigt, omg everything was absolutely devine, thr foo was exceptional and the service was excellent, very attentive
Friendly service, great food and nice atmosphere. I wouldn't have ordered the garlic bread if they told that bread and butter would be served prior to main meal - the knife was useless couldn't cut the bread as it was too tough, wasn't ideal for sharing meal. The prawn risotto and mushroom pizza were fantastic! Absolutely will be back, now I know what must to go!
We took my aunt and uncle here and it was such a treat. The service was phenomenal and all the food was delicious! My uncle had the beef tongue and said it was the best he has ever had. Wonderful atmosphere and we will definitely be back. Quite pricey, but well worth it.
It was an aesthetic Italian place, great for a girls night out or a family gathering. Great wine and food!
Delicious food but terrible service. Forgot our drinks twice and by the time we asked again, the mains were finished. When asked about the dish the waitress couldn’t explain them to us. If the service was improved, I would recommend as the menu is excellent.
