Blue Ox Babe BBQ

Food was small portion. I got the beef short rib which was priced per 100g I paid $30. The ends were burnt and hard to eat and most of it was bone.the math ain’t mathing. Kids chicken burger was small, bland and insanely over priced. The only good meal was the kids bento chicken wings. I’ve heard this place was good but was disappointed. The staff were lovely and the place was clean.

Interesting menu and decent food. It was nice to have fresher Asian inspired dishes in addition to the American style BBQ. In terms of food: two of us ordered the BBQ beef cheek, spicy pork and onions, papaya salad, and rice. Beef cheek comes out - one look at it and I know it was going to be good. Was I right? Oh yes. It had a beautiful bark, tasty smoke ring, it was rich and very tender. The pork was quite good and the papaya salad was amazing, a very nice zingy complement to the rich meat. Service was standard - friendly and pretty prompt. I'd recommend this place

We made a reservation for 8 we showed up 5 minutes late and our table was not ready or set up, we waited another 5 minutes before we were seated. We ordered drinks and never received them then we got asked to order drinks again we received our drinks and then ordered our food our food arrived quickly but was slightly cold. At the end of the night we went to our pay our bill and saw we were charged for 2 drinks each when we only received 1 each. The place has a nice atmosphere and the servers are friendly but the service is lacking.

Great and delicious food, so definitely worth it on that alone. But the staff were very uninvolved and were standing around talking and just not very good unfortunately.

Went here for a late dinner and ordered the sliced brisket, beef short rib (which was the special), sliced pork belly, brisket dumplings and a side of mac & cheese and fries. Brisket was the fav. Waited roughly 30 minutes for food to come out. Everything else was alright. Didn't realise the short rib would be $60 for a piece (with a lot of fat) as I was not informed of price before ordering. All in all, an alright place for bbq

Very nice food. We had 8 different plates, and all were flavourful. However, I found that the portions are too small for the amount they charge. We were in the outdoor courtyard, which was very nice.

Had a great meal. Service was awesome both before our arrival and during, the person I dealt with for our reservation and needs personally introduced herself after we arrived. The meal was beautiful we tried both the bbq and Asian fusion menus. Def recommend and we will be back. My son said best burger he’s had

Unbelievable! We eat at a lot of places and the food was so Devine we went back the next night.

This is the type of place that you are happy to travel 100kms for.

The succulent meats combined with the Asian fusion salads are a combination that's made in heaven.

The owner works front of house which, to me being from a hospitality family means he cares and tends to his customers personally.

Went to the Blue Ox Babe last night to try out their Asian fusion menu. AMAZING! Fantastic food, great service and reasonably priced. Definitely going back!

The staff service was 5 star we were well looked after and the staff checked up on us as we were new to the experience and they were very welcoming and professional also gave some very sound advice, The music and ambience was great loved the song selections while eating. The food was very nice and the Beef Cheeks and Sliced brisket was absolutely what I had expected and more but as for the chicken wings and pork ribs a little bit ordinary considering the prices hence why this review is just short of 5 stars. We will be back as we are a little wiser to what we will be ordering. Cheers

Truly some of the best food I've ever had - the staff are awesome, everything we ordered tasted amazing too. The beef cheeks were super tender, and the peppery coating complements it really well; the brisket and cheese dumplings are a must-try too. I'll definitely be back!

It’s aight. Have had a both decent and disappointing meals here. I can’t say I’m dying to return. It’s BBQ but without any fire happening while you eat. So, yeah. A bit anti-climactic to say the least…

Such wonderful friendly staff. We had the Asian fusion food and loved it all. We went early on a week night and it was quiet, with quick service.

Great friendly, informative staff. Brisket was amazing so were the ribs! The chicken was tasteless, left us wondering why they were $4 each? For $26 The Brisket burger was small and the meat was dry. This is our second time visiting here. Our first visit left us amazed and absolutely happy. Second time we were extremely disappointed. We don't mind paying more money for great food, but the food was way overpriced and disappointing.

Nice place to go once in awhile to treat yourself and loved ones. If you like meaty dishes. Than highly recommended

You have to be early to get what you want. It certainly is a different experience. It is very American. If you like very rustic, carb and meat heavy meals this is perfect for you. Price for food is excellent. If you don't eat pork you need to be super early to make sure you get the beef dish as that sells out 1st

The guy serving us was super rude and the quality for the food didn't justify the price tag ($$$). Do not recommend.

Only positive was the young woman who delivered the food to our car, who was really nice.

Unfortunate that they were sold out of them before 7 tonight. Hoping in the future that there will be a limit on how many can be ordered for each group, to ensure that everyone who has booked in has a chance of ordering them.

Amazing lockdown service. Easy to order and collect. The yummiest food and it sure was a good choice for our first takeaways at Level 3.
