Boardertown reviews
22Friendly staff so no issue with service but perhaps lacking in knowledge. Purchased snowboard, binding & boots set and I was fitted a Burton US9 boot when I'm only 24.5cm foot length which is about a US7 which I didn't know at that time as I trusted their staff. Plus/minus a size is perhaps understandable but +2 size? ! After 5 months plus first trip to Japan I felt my heel was lifting too much and lacking control & stability at speed. I went back the shop to discuss but had no real solution other than change size at next purchase. Couple more months along I spoke to spoke to a boarding instructor that immediately recognised my boot was too big for me upon learning my boot and foot size. Now I've been fitted in a Burton US7 boot elsewhere which fits nicely. Therefore know your foot size before going in and don't be me and trust the staff fully. Otherwise happy with the board and bindings I got from there.
Just wanted to give praiseto Harry at the Auckland branch, best service ive ever received in a store. Super friendly, wasnt trying to over sell me on anything and gave me heaps of good tips on snowboarding. Thank Harry
Very good people in store. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you are buying boots though be aware there is a zero returns policy and no fitting services - so unless you are 100% confident of your fit, it would pay to find somewhere more helpful with getting your boot fit right.
Amazing help by Harry. He was super helpful and approachable. Helped me build my board up from the ground. Definitely an asset to the team
Will definitely be back for my board needs.:)
10/10 experience, all the staff know and love what they are talking about and kitting yourself out for the shredding season is a personally catered experience. They love snowboards and skateboards equally and emphasise both as their main products.
No doubt would recommend to anyone who likes either one!
Helpful staff, go there for skateboarding hardware and advice as they are not one of these skate places that just sells clothes and shoes
Online Support answered super fast and very friendly. Good quality and fast shipment as well! 10/10
Regular customer of the web shop - esp since ‘20… got me through it all, still geared up! Great product range & customer service…
My favorite place to go to for snowboard stuff. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I normally do my research before buying stuff and staff can match my knowledge. Big ups for Sophie and Ben? My only problem is whenever I go in I want to buy more >_<
Absolute legends. Super friendly?
Helped me out way more than necessary, much love!
Just spoke to the most helpful person using the FB chat window, great advice, prompt replies, sent links and everything.
Great range of skate hardware, sunnies, streetwear and kicks.would get the if they just had a small section of quality scoot parts to offer a little service to my son and his Vic ride crew.back local, back Vic!
I have been been a customer of Boardertown for many years now and have found their service awesome. Have got to know many of the key staff and there has always been a notable culture that obviously comes from the owners who care about their business.
The customer service is outstanding with very helpful and friendly staff! Great banter which is
Boarder Town is my favorite skate shop.
Awesome location right next to Vic park, short roll from the skatepark.
Staff are super friendly, knowledgable and the store has huge range and is well stocked.
Went in to hire a demo board for last weekend. Was told they would organise it and call me back to confirm. Never got a call and nothing was ordered so when I rang them they couldn't get the board I was after or a similar board because it was too late. I was going to buy a snowboard in there but now I'll take my business elsewhere. $800 - $1000 lost because of incompetence.
I'm learning to skateboard and the guys there were so friendly and helpful, I was a little worried about being judged but they were so understanding, will definitely make the trip back there in the future!
Awesome store / company, I was served by Brooke who was very informative & detailed, she took her time to go through all of the ins & outs of each product helping me find a full snowboard setup which suited my riding style etc. Highly recommend visiting this store.
Great skate shop, however the person in charge of gripping needs to chill, like I personally like to grip my own boards and when I received my deck the other day it was already gripped, and I didn't even want it to be. Maybe the person just loves gripping but I don't know.
First time at store walked away with new complete setup thanks to Ben for the assisstance during my visit. Great amd knowledgable service for anything skating related. Recommended
