Brothers Beer Orakei reviews
68Oscar was treated really well, he enjoyed the pup sundea, its good that some places welcome dogs, thank you
Don’t bother coming in here after 9pm. Even early on as in my case. You won’t be served, but other existing people will.
Spent $80 for a brisket meal and added the ribs. We also ordered Mac and cheese and 2 ciders. Very disappointing food. Small portion of brisket. Brisket was very fatty but not as bad as the ribs. Ribs were tough and dry and were stone cold. Usually love this place but I am put off coming back.
I am really not a big review guy but i will give effort to this one. We tried the Tuesday unli chicken promo kudos to marketing. There is only 1 wait/bar staff which is all good as it was not busy. Surprisingly with that promo it should be busy (but after dining I am not surprised why). Ordered unli chicken for 3 and a jug of beer (could have been more jugs and dessert). Chicken was not too kid friendly too spicy too kuvb pepper. For adults it was fine perfect with beer. I asked if it's normal to wait 15 minutes for the next order of 5 pieces of tenders and the guy said yes because it's not KFC and they want to keep hot. Could have said it in a way not to degrade KFC and less the attitude. Also the fella was slamming chairs behind us like he was not happy working alone that day. We lost appetite because of that and the experience. Finished our beers and left the not so like KFC chicken, we did not even finish the 2nd plate of chicken. My daughter said she could have been happier if we did spent our $100 dinner at KFC.
Super helpful, super friendly folks. Had a private event here and they made it very easy for us. Thankyou so much!
Went for a meal on 4/03 ordered the beef brisket sandwich, really dry. Mac and cheese bites were okay. Beer was beer. Ambience has lowered since last few visits. Manager/main guy was scrolling on tiktok whole time with the volume blasting. Customer service pretty poor. Tiktok manager man came and took away empty paper towels but then got distracted by tiktok and didn’t replace. Not a biggie but do ya job before having a wee scroll. Won’t be back.
Cute dog friendly brewery. You can even buy a beer for your dog which I loved. Friendly staff and a good range of beers on tap. Culture retro fit out too.
Very yummy I think the girls serving could have been a little but more inviting, not a complaint at all just when someone new one would need or would be nice to be explained of the purchasing process, but the food absolutely stunning thank you
As a frequent visitor these guys always give great friendly service. Love the fried chicken! Also cool to see staff always welcoming people with their pets:)
Manager is always happy to accommodate our ever changing requirements- inside, outside, back inside
Edited in response: My visit was on the 21st January during lunch.
If the price was around $15 for a main I would rate this place 3 stars. Price similar to Mission Bay, but quality very absent. Staff was friendly, but this was the only plus point. We were very excited to take our family dog out for a meal with us, and still love the concept. The execution, however, is terribly lazy. One of the staff (who should know better!) didn’t think it was a good idea to ask permission before patting our dog. They aren’t equipped to offer the service they claim to offer.
We had the best time celebrating my daughter's first birthday at Brother's Beer Orakei at the weekend! There was great communication beforehand when arranging and on the day everything was perfect. We preordered food which was yum and came out at a great time. The kids enjoyed the kiddie area and we were kindly given generous amount of space for our booking. Would definitely recommend, nothing was too much trouble! Thanks again guys, we will see you again soon:) :)
Hope you are actively hiring more staff. The same employee, presumably the manager, was pouring beers and making food in the kitchen. Terribly understaffed. Been coming here often, never seen any of the staff take a break. Plenty of people looking for a job, think you should advertise for additional positions so your customers don't have to rely on two staff doing everything. Service from the employees you actually do have was great, they were very friendly and efficient despite probably being exhausted.
Booked here for a birthday celebration and Ujjwal was so helpful and accommodating for our group of 20 (of all ages!). Thank you Ujjwal! My only suggestion is to have more staff working if you can as you were all run off your feet as it was so busy.
Had the best time there today celebrating international dog day. Best customer service, amazing place if you have a dog. Yum food and great drinks!
Its OK. The staff seem to not care if you live or die and the food is greasy however the fried chicken is excellent. The beer is good but done in very small portions and the ambiance is like a storage container. I forgot to add my son was very sick after eating his burger (he is 12 and the burger was a binge burger) couldn't eat again for 48 hours.
They have changed the range of beers recently. Some nice Hazies! Always warm and inviting inside and never have to wait very long for either service or for food to be delivered.
I visit here a lot with friends and had to make a review after my most recent visit. We were served by a waitress whose name I believe was Charlotte, we wanted to try something new other then our usual beer order. Charlotte was super passionate about their range and made some amazing suggestions. She recommend the ‘Italian Jobs’ IPA and it was so amazing! She also recommend we try their loaded chicken tenders and they were sooo good! I’ve also gone to their quiz night a couple times and it’s always a great time with good prizes! Overall a great spot and I’ll be sure to visit again soon!
Been here a few times, food selection is great. So many Gluten Free options which is why we enjoy coming here. Only local place I have found so far that do GF fried chicken. Good value for money along with there beer selection and tastings.
Food was way below average and ridiculously expensive for what it was. The kids pizza was covered in spicy bbq sauce, the brocollini was brocolli and very average for 5 pieces costing $18. Wouldn’t usually post a review, but the food was too disappointing not to!
Perhaps the worst food I’ve ever paid for! Overpriced and you couldn’t pay me to eat what we were served.
