The steak was over cooked and so drowned in garlic you could taste nothing else. Worst steal ever. No veges on the menu.

Awesome ambience and delicious food! Always enjoy our dinners here. Prices are higher than average but never disappointed in quality. Would be great if opened for lunch.

Dined in and the food was fantastic. Very tasty and throughly enjoyed the meal with the family.

The food is absolutely amazing. By far it is food wise my favorite restaurant. From a number of times. When ive been dinning there the owner has made the atmosphere feel uncomfortable. The fact that you book a table and are notified you have a a time span of 2 hours then the table is booked again makes me feel like just a number, not a valued guest paying good money for an occasional outing to a fellow African small business owner restaurant. She is very ubrubt towards staff and some clients at times. Again, the food is amazing, I as a paying customer would like to enjoy space and a good umbiance when entering their restaurant. And also feel like a guest, not a number through the revolving door

Great family restaurant. Wide variety of different foods from starters to desert. Good selection of wines, bottled beer, beer on tap and a wide variety of soft drinks. The service we received was excellent and extremely friendly, the lady made reccomendations on of the meals and specials. Food portions were generous. The staff get involved with singing for Birthday wishes as does all the patron's. Makes for a very relaxed atmosphere and a overall good experience. Will definitely be back in the future.

Friendly staff with great service that were very prompt, food was yummy, I like the different textures of mushroom that they had like the mushroom soup it was nice and a bit thick, the cheese and mushroom sauce was delicious, deep fried mushrooms with bacon bits was a first, The ultimate onion and calamari were really crunchy and the sauce that came with it really does go with it, the sweet smoky ribs were nice came right off when you bite. Food is definitely worth the amount paid but better to choose a main and one side as me and my partners meals came to a total of $199 lol. Platters are very filling so better to minimise choice as we didn’t finish our meals but takeaway boxes are provided would definitely recommend.

Great food and service but disappointed to see they still serve plastic straws even knowing how bad this is for the environment. When questioned, the manager said “clients still ask for it”… despite of the great experience, not going back because not environment friendly

OMG! Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were huge! Come with a big appetite and a large wallet - it is a bit expensive but I promise you oh so worth it! My partner had the cheesy mushroom schnitzel and I had the rump steak. Friends of ours had a burger and ribs and calamari (the best I've ever had - not too thick batter which wasn't sloppy or too crunchy and the squid itself wasn't chewy). Def will bd visiting next time we're in Auckland.

Great food, big portions if you are hungry! Lots of birthdays going on, good athmosphere! Friendly and attentive waitress! Really recommend!

For many years ive always envy'd this place, thankyou chef, my steak was perfect would reccomend to all my friends and family, very nice staff, we were treated very well, thankyous so much.

We have been here many times and they always cook my steak to perfection. One of the few restaurants that know how to cook a great steak. Great service.

Had the steak and calamari combo, rump steak med rare mushroom sauce yummo couldn't do desert, gonna try the ribs next time

Service 5*. Food presentation 5*. Food taste & quality 5*. This restaurant is an experience you won't forget. Be ready to spend though, 2 people and we spent $117, no regrets, totally worth it. 4 star overall as we were seated in the back area, which would be ok however disgusting fan blowing at as, dirty ceiling above us, old and ugly open storage next to us. Took away from the experience for sure.

Appetizers were good, steak was tender & juicy, sides & sauses were yummy, service was excellent, will deffinitly be back, great first experience.

Bushman’s Grill is our favourite restaurant. It’s our go to restaurant for all and any celebrations. We have been there for years and never once been disappointed with the delicious food and customer service. And they are even friendly and response fast via emails.

The food was delicious and the dessert a treat. We did not wait long and the service was excellent. Great place for a birthday meal. They make you feel very special with the birthday song and a drink on the house. We will definitely be back.
