Not really much butterflys but if you like dinosaurs then you would like it as they have done quite alot regarding these.

Family-friendly, fun-filled destination for all ages. Very close to Auckland Airport, a must-see place.

Nice place to go with the kids, very varied attractions: it has some animals, butterflies, dinosaur statues that move, a farm, a playground. Kids loved it all.

Went to the otter experience, it was sooo good. Lovely guide and up close and personal with the otter family. Got to feed them behind the scenes. Amazing experience.

Our twins love Butterfly Creek. We have been twice with them and totally love it. Good child and animal friendly place.

It's a typical attraction. It seemed like the better days were behind it and there were fewer actual animals than I expected. The kids enjoyed it, but if you're looking for something similar, Willowbank in Christchurch has far more animals (but fewer animatronics) and a better cafe.

Great place for family and friends. When here in 2019 and amazing animals. See eels and kiwi. The Weather was perfect and not lots of people at the park. Must visit place if you are around town.

The animals seemed stressed and sad: (and the poor things had to listen to dinosaur noises all day. The rabbits and guinea pig had no fresh food. One rabbit was trying to eat fake grass. The male guinea pig was all alone and lonely. Guinea pigs are social animals and should never be alone.
We sat at the front of the train and could hardly breathe with the exhaust blowing straight in our faces. This might be only only bad review I've ever written but sad animals is inexcusable

Never again.
Poor animals was forced to be touched by rough kids. The parrots are shivering!
The raptiles box are made with fake leaves.
This place has no educational elements to kids at all.
Trains and sculptures are outdated.

A delightful place for young and old. Perfect for families with young children. Loved the moving, roaring dinosaurs! The baby goat was full of fun.

Really good display of animals we are not used to see in daily life. Feeding and special shows show us their characters. Great staff and good cafe. Good day out.

More expensive than the Zoo, and not as good. Plastic plants for the real animals, and real plants for the plastic animals? I felt majority of animals had enclosures not up to modern standards - small, basic, plastic plants? - even the fish. The kiwi was the most stressed I had seen. As were the bunnies and the Cockatoo. I wouldve given it less stars but the Crocs were impressive, but what a boring existence they lead!

Never visiting this place again. Went for one of my son's friends birthday's. Staff who were taking care of us were really helpful and lovely. Thought it would be fine however the worst place to take my kids too, I understand it was a busy day however my coffee wasn't given to me for half an hour. Staff seemed so pressured and stressed which doesn't give a good look to the place. I am not quite certain who this lady is to the company, she was treating her staff members quite rudely (seems like a higher positioned staff member). I observed her demanding staff to do things in such a rude way, hence my opinion. Exhibits were satisfactory however very overpriced. Overall, good for the kids but personally a waste of money.

Lots of family fun. With the petting zoo and dinosaur trail, as well as being able to walk through the butterfly rooms. Great to see the beautiful butterflies.

Amazed at how cool the new dinosaur exhibition was. We were just filling in time but it was well worth it and very reasonably priced, especially for Auckland. Stop at the cafe for lunch but I dont recommend the coleslaw- it had weird spicy Mayo through it which was disappointing. The coffee and chips were great though! Has a petting zoo and playground. Perfect place to take the kids!

An excellent place to go for the whole family. There's plenty to see. From butterflies to bunnies and goats and bird's etc. There are many huge real time models of dinosaurs when they used to exist. The staff are wonderful. When it's time for lunch or tea/coffee break, look no further. Choose from an indoor or outdoor setting. The animals are well looked after. While you're there, don't forget to get your tickets for a ride in the mini train. Highly recommended.

Great place for young family educational adventure, children will enjoy walking through passageways/doorways viewing different areas. There are butterflies, alligator, crocodiles, kiwis, insects, spiders a petting zoo, dinosaurs, a short train ride, there's a lot for kids to enjoy for all ages. When you need to feed the family there is a cafeteria/eatery and covered dining area if you want to take your own lunch.
