Caltex - Penrose

Got coffee and a sub on the way to Mt Smart. What a great find - petrol stations are now offering café quality coffee, but outside café hours which is a blessing to feed our coffee obsession. A double bonus having subway in there - we got a couple of decent subs there too

Aisan lady who opens up in the morning has a very bad attitude problem! Theres been afew times after 5: 30am, telling us to go away shes not open, or shes acting like she don't understand english! Its a 1 star for her customer service!

Location is easy to find. Customer service was lovely (patient with my delay and confusion when I misheard them lol).

This is a petrol station. I love the smell of gasoline in the morning, it's the smell of insanity.

Told the guy my pre pay amount and what pump I was on and paid, then went and set the pump off only to find he hadn't set the prepay amount and opened the pump to full, when I went back in to ask him what happened his answer was "Do you want to pay now or later? " my answer was "never"
The guy still would have to had manually opened the pump for me to pump any gas and he still made out like it was my fault for telling him the wrong pump.pretty cheeky way to get his sales numbers up.also the bathroom floor was covered in urine.

Filled up with gas, bought myself a pie and felt it was yesterday’s pie reheated it was that dry and tasteless

Expensive diesel but I guess thats what we get in Auckland, they just where to most Expensive on the block

Lots of gas available, always quite busy, I imagine they use more gas here than Germany in the 40s

Went to this gas station this morning asking if they sell Antifreeze and the guy didnt know what antifreeze is. I said water for car and still he say i dont know. Caltex management need to educate your staff

Great staff and are always very helpful. Love that they also have subway built in for those quick lunchtime sandwich runs. Pies are moderately warm which could be improved on. Always has well stocked fridges and shelves.

Definitely one of the better ones and one of my regular station. Great service，staff always smiling.

It's very convenient, close to motorway easy-to-use get off and back on motorway no matter which direction your headed

I went there for a hot chocolate and ended up with hot water and some sugar in it. They do not have a proper coffee making equipment to churn the milk. Very poor quality hot drinks and waste of money.

Pay at pump, mobility access that is clear and accessible for after hours payment. Helpful friendly staff and will go the extra mile to fill your car for you.

Gas station is in good location people coming from different direction can see the station. Which is easy to see. Has car wash and domestic gas cylinder filling.

A typical Caltex Station, note however, at night when on prepay, and the doors are locked, there are NO toilet facilities available.

The car wash doesn't work! I went in and ran my car through the wash and the back came out still dirty.

The staff then said it was my fault because the car was too dusty, and refused to refund me or run it through again to get the job done properly.

Apalling.

Come here every Thursdays to get that 10 percent added onto your card, handy place next to motorway and subways for a quick munch!

Poor service 10/12/2017 (time 2340)
This is my first time I have been to Caltex.
Before filling up they require to do $99 deposit when I filled $75 and ask for remaning balance guy gave me cash I said what the hell I do with cash I need it in my account it another job to put this cash in account. It’s totally wast of time.
Guy on the till was good not his fault but he still apologise.
I have no issue with particular gas station
I only have issue with this system.
Very disappointing
I will Never ever go to any Caltex again.
