Carpet Court Albany reviews
12We had two other companies do a measure and quote for us but the Carpet Court representative was so much more thorough. She pointed out some changes we should make to ensure a smooth installation with a better result underfoot. The installation itself was pain-free and we're so happy with our new Rhino carpet. Thank you, Carpet Court Albany.
Such great showroom with plenty of samples and can even take samples home. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable sales staff.
Quick carpet sale. Not all priced carpets are on show so ask for the deals available as staff don't off them up
Very friendly helpful staff. Gave us lots of samples to take home. And to top it off, gave us a great discount on the carpet we chose. Highly recommended.
Very good, lady assisting us was very helpful, narrowed selection quickly, over to us to now make choice. She listened and responded accordingly, made the process less painful.
* 4.5 to 5 stars for the ultimate installation work/workmanship
* 4.5 to 5 stars for their senior management doing the right thing, fronting up, and personally apologising, and offering to speak with the neighbours after a catastrophic scheduling screw up plus lots of minor issues along the way that added up to a project that wasn't well managed.
* 3 stars for the overall experience in the grand scheme of things. Should be better but hopefully they will learn the lessons.
Long story short - what should clearly have been a 4 day laminate installation was somehow scheduled for 2 days. Clear as day aspects of the house plan (i.e. 28 flights of stairs) amazingly got missed. For a while, things looked bad enough that it felt like a case where they had screwed both their installation contractor and us.
To be fair, two very senior people from their group came to our house at first opportunity, explained the true costs/some of the subtle issues, and didn't try to defend scheduling error. They also accepted that a lot of the other minor errors compounded to make things look worse than they were. Having talked to their contractor independently, he also confirmed that he hadn't been screwed and CC pays the best amongst similar retailers. So when things work, you should have a good experience.
And they also offered something to make up for the experience which was a reasonable gesture.
An honest feedback here. About a year or two ago we bought a carpet from Carpet Court. We were not advised upfront that the type of woolen carpet may be losing a lot of wool within a period of about a year.
The carpet was shedding for a about a year. When the stuff came into our house, investigated, we were told its normal for that "shedding" to last for a few months and were very cunning to "" push us away". The carpet stopped shedding only recently. I can't even imagine what could have happened to the customers who have certain allergies to dust, etc. Be careful in regards to the product you chose and ask as many questions as you can and watch the forms you sign when buying.
I didn't personally go there to buy carpet but if your looking for some free near new carpet go to the back you'll find a ton of free carpet free for the picking, just make sure to tidy up after yourself or you may ruin it for others.
A little long waiting times on weekends. Better to have extra staff. We had to leave the store, as there’s no one attending for atleast 30mins.
I purchased my carpet from carpet court Albany. I love the whole experience. Staff is very efficient, know their product well. The installer was very efficient and polite.
I bought my carpet from Carpet court Albany. I found the staff very cooperative, patient and gave me good information to enable me make the right decision.i was very happy with the price and the delivery which was made as promised. The installation was very professional and we are very much enjoying our new carpet.
Literally the worst sales staff I have ever encounted. Needing to be chased for a quote week upon week is unacceptable. I even contacted management to chase the quote and yet still have not received an updated one. Will take our money somewhere it's respected.
