Carpet Mill

We recently renovated our house and Ross was very accomodating and went the extra mile to help us due to long delays receiving our Council consent. We are happy with the service we received and the two young guys who laid the carpet upstairs were fantastic. They were careful to avoid damage to our newly painted walls and tidied up after themselves.

We are generally happy with the efficiency and process but we had quite a few white linear marks and more joins than on the carpet join map.
If you use this company I would suggest asking for as few joins as possible and checking the warranty.

Extremely pleased with the price and end result for a rental renovation we manage. Riley & staff got an excellent product at a good price, and their people laid the carpet with great care. We have a great result and are very happy with Carpet Mill. (2021)

Just had another Carpet Mill installation done (2023). This is what I told them. "I also wanted to say that I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail of your installer. I have been having carpet installed for over 30 years in my rentals and I don’t think I have ever seen such a good job. Praise is richly deserved. "

Carpet Mill was very professional and I am very happy with the whole deal. Would certainly recommend them. Must mention Rachel Meng, Cooper and the carpet layer Norm who did a very good job laying the carpet.

Poor carpet and poor install. Had casa bella nitro installed a number of years ago. The carpet quality is poor. Despite a short cut it flattens down and tracks and looks old after a year or so. We had feltex swatches for doormats and they didn't have the same problem and looked so much better, reminding me of the bad decision made and better decision that could have been. Horrible sack backing which starts to go crunchy. Then the install was a nightmare. Poor joins, with carpet overlapping slightly. Carpet sucked up off the floor at edges by the vacuum cleaner. The latter issue was fixed after months contacting carpet mill and multiple visits. 15 year warranty but would rather put something else in than go through that again.

So happy with the final product. Great communication and carpet was put in in a timely matter.

Staff at Carpet Mill could not help me as I was looking for wool carpet, but they kindly redirected me to a place that could.
They did not have to do this so I appreciate that.

No doubt good service and good product but they are very overpriced and they charge for the work which they have not done. Sorry carpet mill but please stop ripping off people. People do hardwork to make money amd you guys charging the money even the work you guys have not done. Very disappointed. First time tried and its last time.

Carpet Mill is awesome. They are quick to reply to emails, they called as soon as I left a quote request and were easy and friendly to talk to! We had Skyla come to our house to show us samples and go through carpet details with us, she is awesome! Great customer service is vital in any business and Skyla has this to a T! Great service! Great Product! Ross (sales manager) he had great service, and very friendly. He provided us with our quote on the spot - and we had a slight issue with our carpet after being laid - but he was over the same day to help out:) Russell, and James - carpet layers - were great people! I've used Carpet Mill a few years ago, and they were great and easy to deal with. I can't say that this time around!
They came highly recommended by my property manager, so decided to get them to do the re-carpeting at my investment property. The communication wasn't too bad at the start, and time-line wise they were good.
What was the real let down, was the quality of work. The edges had streaks of white, which was obvious when you look closely. It looked like the carpet wasn't measured correctly, and was short by a small amount, and silicone was being used to compensate for the shortfall.
From that point on, conversations were poor from their end. We brought up the issue after the installation, which was early in March. They brought in an installer to inspect with my property manager, and from that point they were quiet on their end.
Fast forward to about 8 week later, they are now denying all
responsibilities, and claiming that the silicone was already there, and are seeking full payment, without even giving me an opportunity to dispute this.
I would say that there are other carpet companies that can provide a much better service and experience than this lot, and I would be steering away from them from this point onwards
The biggest issue isn't the mistake, as mistake happens. But not taking accountability, that's just weak and irresponsible.

UPDATE: I spoke to their general manager, Mike and he was pleasant enough to explain the inner workings of carpet laying, and although the issue was a result of a failed previous paint job, he has offered to remove the silicone and paint scraps to honor the agreement, so a big kudos to him for his impeccable customer service!

I am pleased to provide a review for Carpet Mill who recently undertook the re carpeting if my home.
They were very professional throughout the process accommodating my time frame.
Riley was very helpful and the layers, Norm and Steve worked very quickly with the least disruption moving my furniture back to its original positions. They also removed all of the old carpet for disposal.
I am very happy with the finish throughout the house. I have no hesitation in recommending them to all.

Right from the word Go, we have had outstanding service from Carpet Mill staff and quality is top notch. Also outstanding service from the carpet layer. A big thankyou to all involved.
