Casablanca Sylvia Park reviews
61 Food was nice enough - a few aspects were a bit stale. Coffee was a bit burnt.
Staff were nice and service was fast.
Comfortable seating and lovely decor. The food was delicious. We had the harissa tiger prawns which were perfectly cooked and very tasty, and the Moroccan lamb tagine which served a whole lamb shank and was very tender. Service was acceptable and would’ve given 5 if it was friendlier.
One of our faves - the lamb Jordan hummus is incredible and so it the steak on skewers. Their orange almond cake is also moist and the perfect desert to round up an incredible meal. Never left feeling hungry or disappointed.
Great food! If you are into Mediterranean style food, this place has a good selection. Staff are friendly and the space is cozy.
Lovely restaurant.
Good food.
Good size portions
Great service.
Mostly busy.so reserve a table if you are going in a group
Nice mediterranean food. Really enjoyed. But there was a guy who shouts to staffs. Maybe the owner or a manager. It seems to encourage staff to serve customers but that shouting was more annoying. Beside that, food was great.
Great escape from the cold winter weather. Warm spicy flavours on grilled meats with dips and flatbreads.
Very good service, food was good/0kay… depending what you order. I tried the Bedouin Lamb, sauce flavour was extremely strong and was over powering everything else on the dish.
Good food service with a smile. Love the authentic touches with plating, cutlery like turkish coffee served in ceramic cup within silver cup holder.
I was surprised how full the place was however we did find a table for 7 and we ordered from the special lunch menu. Which did not take long to be served. My meal was really delicious. Friendly staff as well. Highly recommended!
Outstanding flavors, attentive service. Three different meals all plates were cleaned! Turkish coffee is an experience worth repeating.
Third time being here, I loved the food all three times and this will be my go-to place every time I come shopping!
Def.try the slow-cooked lamb it's amazing!
Oh and their chicken salad has A LOT of chicken that's seasoned beautifully.
Very warm and inviting place to meet friends for lunch. 4 of us shared 2 lunch plates, a bowl of fries and 2 dessert cakes (orange and chocolare) with coffee. Everything was delicious and would go again.
First time coming here, we are from Gisborne and were up for my brother's birthday dinner. I have a stink photo of my meal but I really enjoyed my chicken cherkez. So good! The food was great all round. And thankyou to your staff for looking after us, excellent service!
Was really nice, great decore and atmosphere and food was great and tasty too.
Would have preferred a few more options on the menu, but overall it was good.
Maybe some more middle eastern music to set the vibe or more volume.
The food was great as always however the service was a little slower then we have become used to. It was a busy lunch time so no problem.
This place used to be good. We came last week Sunday at around 6pm. The wait staff are probably the worst I've seen in Auckland. It was early on Sunday so they did not have a lot of customers yet. The lady server looked like she did not know what she was doing, had no idea about the 3 course option at the back of the menu. They took ages to take our order and even then they weren't sure who was going to take our order. Eventually the male server decided he'll do it. Two more wait staff arrived 30 min later and instead of clearing our tables so we can go to the next course, this lot decided to chat away next to the bar. We were waiting a bit for our table to get cleared, so my family and I stacked the plates ourselves since it seemed an inconvenience to be served. When the other male staff finally came over and saw that the plates were already stacked. He just said 'Oh. Sweet. ' Not even a thank you for us doing his job. The only people seemed to be doing their jobs right was the chef. The duty manager, while doing his best to function, looked like he could use some sleep and should probably pay attention to his staff and customers.
Food was ish. The lamb was a little salty and the pizza needs to be avoided altogether. The appetizers were decent though (breads and dips). The meatballs could also use a little less salt. I would have given this place a 3.5 out of 5 but points off for horrendous experience with the wait staff.
I have been going there for a few years. Food and service are absolutely amazing. It's probably the best Turkish food and drinks in New Zealand
Ordered two mains. Both were ok.
Cherkez Chicken: served with rice but chicken was a bit dry.
Morocon Lamb Tagine: lamb itself was great and nicely done but did not complement with chickpea in tomato gravy.
Fries were pretty standard served with sauces
Pomegranate tea was also ok. Nothing special.
Had a wonderful dinner here - we've eaten here several times in the past and have always enjoyed our visits. Attentive friendly staff, delicious food which came out quickly. We ordered to share between two, the Mezze Platter and the Beef Cheeks Tagine. Large sized servings. We sat outside and the heaters kept us warm on a chilly evening.
