Casita Miro reviews
65 The site is fabulous but the wine very disappointed.
We will make a covid 19 - test tonight. Maybe this can explain these awful and plate tastes!
Wine tasting overall notation: 1/5!
Pinos gris: 2/5. No character.
Rose: 1/5. Smoked wine.
Malbec: 2/5. No character.
Miro 1/5. Awful but an odor of metal/painting. Grape juice.
Madame rouge: 1/5. Too many sugar.
We chose Casita Miro for our wedding venue and could not have been happier with the day.
The whole process was incredible, ultimate professionalism with an exceptionally laid back atmosphere.
Then, there's the food.unbelievably good. Actually, it's probably better than that.we had guest after guest after guest saying "the food.oh my God.soooo good. "
Awesome staff found us a table with no booking, very friendly and great service
Food is amazing and a great selection of drinks
Visited on Saturday and were seated at the terrace as we didn’t have a reservation. Goats cheese croquettes were amazing. The olives were tender and the olive oil served with focaccia was light and fresh.
If you are walking to Obsidian take the short cut past the vines (don’t walk the long way round).
We came here for a wine tasting as part of a tour of the island. Friendly staff and delicious wine, especially the Malbec. If you go, walk up to the top and admire the view. Also, you have to appreciate the Barcelona inspired art installations throughout the property. Worth the trip!
Had the set Fiesta menu & a bottle of the Casita Miro Syrah viognier. Excellent value in a wonderful quirky setting.
A DELIGHT! Food was amazing and super tasty, stuff attentive.
We’ll be back! Thank you for a delicious lunch.
From the moment you see the entrance way, that leads you in to this Island gem, you know it's going to be a unique experience. That it is, with superb food and wines. Expect a busy vibe, but there were no delays in the food times or ordering of the wine flights. All came out promptly, and service was excellent. Great decor all around this Restaurant. It's fun and fabulous!
Very nice winery. Could have spent the entire day here. Even bought a bottle, the Summer Aphrodisiac.
A delicious three course lunch with tapas, a main lamb meal with green salad and kumara, and fruit and mousse desert. Magnificent, helpful, friendly service, and a very special atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Good wines and the most gorgeous winery view! Our group was able to get a spot around noon on a weekday in early January, after a 10 minute wait, with no booking. If you buy a tasting, you can sit on the grass or balcony, not just near the shack where you order the tasting.
Staff were very friendly, despite being very busy, and took good care of us. The Pinot gris was excellent.
Great spot! The service was exceptional. Delicious platter which you can have with your wine tasting. Highly recommend!
Casita Miro only do a set menu, but they DO IT SO WELL! Favorite dishes included goats cheese croquettes, pomegranate kumara and spicy prawns. All washed down by delicious wines. Can recommend
Simply THE MOST INCREDIBLE experience. The food was exquisite.as was the wine and the service. We were there celebrating a dear friend's 50th with a set, degastation menu. Every mouthful was a delight. Can't wait to go back. Gracias Casita Miro
The service received from the team here was one of the best I've had in NZ. Unbelievably accommodating to my family, wild nieces and nephews and extended unexpected guests who joined our table. Honestly blown away. And to top it off, the food was unbelievable. Those mushrooms and prawns - Died and went to heaven. Thank you so much!
My family and I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Casita Miro. The venue, food and service was wonderful! The chef was very accommodating with special food requirements which was very much appreciated! Would highly recommend.
Just recently visited Casita Miro with my partner and enjoyed the 3 course Fiesta menu. We had an amazing time. The food, service and atmosphere was second to none.
We were a little early, so they offered us a chance to enjoy a drink in the garden beforehand. Highly recommend the sangria!
Bookings are essential! Very popular little gem on Waiheke. 3 course Fiesta for $65 per person (min 2 people) is great value. Beautiful views of the vineyard. The food is delicious and there is such a variety of flavours to try. Highly recommended restaurant on Waiheke
The wine tasting was focused on the importance of pairing food with the wine. We tasted the wine first, then with food, Their Syrah Viognier was outstanding, we bought a couple of bottles and had a picnic dinner at the top of Eden overlooking Auckland. We toured three winery and this was our favorite!
Outstanding and beautiful. I've been lucky to have some good tapas in my life, but Casita Miro was truly next level. Staff was friendly, accommodating, really helpful guiding menu choices. The wine was exceptional as well. Table looking out onto the vineyard beautiful. Late afternoon reverie-I'll remember this meal and place fondly for a long time. My gratitude to everyone at Casita Miro!
