3I know first hand that this CBM New Zealand spends the funds raised carefully and transparently to make the most difference to people with disabilities in low-income countries. I can vouch that this is a trusted organisation which supports people that really need it.
I did a survey online because they said it would help people. Called me up and expected that I donate money. I also asked them to stop my donation because I can’t afford it, they said they did but they didn’t. I’m considering reporting them. They keep sending me spam mail as well. I didn’t consent to them sending me mail nor did they ask me beforehand. This is a really unethical scammy “charity”.
They will waste your donations on advertising to people who don't want it anymore. We have been telling them for over a year to stop sending letters, that keep coming monthly.
I would donate your hard earned money elsewhere. Try the Fred Hollows Foundation or Kids Can.
