If you have done your due diligence to read the reviews before choosing to use this business, then I strongly urge you to choose another chimney service.

Alistair (the owner) is possibly the worst tradesman I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. If I could give zero stars, I would.

He doesn't like being asked simple questions and will call you on a number that comes up as window cleaning, and is nothing but sarcastic, aggressive, rude and arrogant over the phone. Alistair cannot answer simple questions and gets extremely defensive and aggressive, for no apparent reason. It's as if you're a complete inconvenience to him which is astounding considering this is his business, which requires customers to run.

Every text I received from Alistair after the horrendous phone call was extremely unprofessional. Alistair lacks basic interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with people in a professional and respectful manner.

Use any service but this, I completely regret not reading the reviews beforehand. Based on another review, I don't have confidence that he has done a proper job which is why I will be getting another (legitimate) professional to again service our chimney, and hopefully with a much better experience.

I booked a job with Alistair to come and clean a chimney and some gutters on a property for me. I work for a company that contracts work out, so with the request I asked him to take 5 - 10 photos of the work he does. A lot of the owners of properties, that we deal with, don't get a chance to go to the property, or they live overseas, so taking photos allows them to ensure that the work they're paying for has been completed.
When I requested this he told me that it was over the top and then he cancelled my appointment.
He then proceeded to be extremely rude and tell me I'm in "la la land. "
Highly disgusted with his unprofessional attitude and I don't recommend using his services at all.

After chimney sweep, when starting the next fire I found that the air pipe was removed without being reinstalled, there was a large gaping hole on the baffle (it wasn't there previously), and $15 added to the invoice; and we were not informed about any of these at all. When queried and called, he insisted that the hole was already there (it wasn't), that he needed the hole to sweep the chimney because the baffle was not removable (it can be easily removed and previous chimney sweepers have removed it when sweeping without issues), and hung up on me. When I tried calling again, he refused to answer. Very unprofessional conduct. I totally do not recommend.
