Chop Chop Noodle House

I went there for the first time at the recommendation of a friend who said, ``It's a restaurant with a great atmosphere. ''

Since it's a Noodle + Whiskey Bar, there is music in a calm atmosphere, and the bar is centered around the bar counter. The staff is very friendly, and there is a wide selection of food and drinks. I chose the miso ramen recommended by a friend. Chewy rye noodles, soft-boiled eggs, bean sprouts, menma, dried shiitake mushrooms, corn, all-purpose green onions, and ingredients you don't often find in Japanese ramen: smoky eggplant, butter, and pickled cucumbers. It was a surprising miso ramen. The soup is Somi's miso ramen soup.

Overall it wasn't bad I like the concept of ramen while drinking

I can honesty say that I’m disgusted by the kitchen staffs hygiene. I’ve been to chop chop quite a few times and have always liked it but today I was not impressed. I was sat at the bar so I could see into the kitchen and the hygiene standards of the two cooks was shocking. I witnessed one chef with gloves on touching her phone, touching her neck, touching her hair and putting her hands into her drink and mouth and then touching customers pork and ramen. She didn’t change her gloves or even wash them. I then saw the other chef take out a pill bottle, put her medication in her hands and then put them in her mouth. Again, didn’t change her gloves before the touching a customers food. It’s really off putting watching the person who made your food touch anything and everything, including the inside of their mouth and then handling food.

Tucked inside Ponsonby Central, the food doesn't disappoint and is well priced. The staff were friendly and the space is cosy but comfortable

Visited on a whim, the Crab Bao is incredible. Very affordable. Stylish holiday atmosphere.

I was so disappointed with my ramen. It was extremely oily. I ordered the chicken ramen. I never comment but felt like I should. For $27 it should be better. Go to ramen takara in ponsonby way better ramen

Best roman in Auckland! I've tried multiple places and it doesn't touch what Chop Chop does.

Oh man this was one of the most satisfying bowls of ramen ive had.texture of the noodles came out exactly how i prefer them, firm/al dente.good portions.will now be my go to whenever im craving some good ramen

Not a place for me - both beef brisket and cobra kai super mega ramen were so so.

The corn fritter gave me a mouthful of flour-ish feeling, didn't bother to finish it.

The only good thing was the dishes came fairly quick and in good temperature.

Never again.

Fusion style ramen - the broth was very light and tasty. I had the roast pork ramen and the pork was a bit hit and Miss - some bits super tough and pork skin rubbery, other bits nice and tender. The noodles themselves were delicious. My partner had the beef brisket and he loved it. I tried it and the meat was super tender. We also ordered some fried chicken to share and this was absolutely delicious.
Not your traditional ramen so don’t be expecting that! Very cute place and worth a visit

Bad customer service as the waiter burped loudly in our faces, other waitress came sneaking up behind and simply said pork bun not loud enough for my friend to hear. Food was decent with my wings having an abundant amount of oily spicy sauce and not enough meat. Cheeseburger bao mince tasted off and cheese was too oily and processed.

Always love the Ramen from here and as a regular customer, I can reccommend the food. A little confused as to why I only get served water on some occasions, but not others (even when quiet.) Miss the guy named Caleb who really gave it a warm, welcoming atmosphere too.

The young man who was the server wasn't interested in working the tables. Watched us wait out front by the sign which specifically asks this. Was clearly more important to have lunch with his partner while we waited on him.

We ordered the spicy fried chicken side and a miso ramen and pork ramen. The chicken was very good but was extremely disappointed with both ramens. Neither had egg on it, despite the menu saying so. The miso ramen had very sparse toppings (one small piece of eggplant and a few mushrooms and bits of corn). When mentioned to the waitress she was unsympathetic and did nothing to recify the situation. While the ramen flavor was okay, I wont be coming back. Don't waste your time and money. Go somewhere else.

Well this certainly lived up to the hype. I had the beef ramen and it was amazing. Truly 11/10 stuff, nicest ramen I’ve had in a long time.

Delicious broth, perfect noodles and garnishes and the meat was something special.

I’ll be going back for sure although it’s going to be hard to change my order!

I highly recommend this noodle place! The Chicken Karage Ramen and Beef Ramen were delicious, and I will definitely revisit. However, it appeared that the servers were understaffed as we had to wait for quite some time before someone served us at our table.

Great little place to get some ramen. It’s small so be prepared to squeeze in a bit but the ramen is excellent. The beef brisket is especially good.

Chop chop is a fantastic place to enjoy a bowl of Ramen. Delicious food, great service and aqesome atmosphere at any time of the day or night.

The food is great but I felt insulted about my wife being denied of ordering an option just because it was from the “kids menu” and they “don’t sell kids options” for adults. My wife was just not that hungry and just wanted to order a smaller dish. We assumed options for kids are cheaper for being smaller and not because kids have a special discount. We were not trying to have a “discount for kids” come on!

Wonderful little noodle house tucked away in a Ponsonby food court. We were lucky enough to get a table as it was packed.

Sat at the counter opposite the two chefs and bartender working their magic. It is always a pleasant sight watching people in flow.

They have a wide range of offerings from on the go street food to larger plates / bowls. We started off with the soft crab bun which light and full of flavor.
I followed that up with the brisket ramen which was just the right amount of food. It tastes great without being overwhelmingly salty as ramen can be. They are generous with the amount if brisket provided which is always welcome.
My SO had the vegetable salad with an add of salmon and that was great! The salmon made all of the difference, the quality of the fish in New Zealand is far superior to what we get stateside.

If you're looking for an Asian quick bite packed with flavor, I highly recommend Chop chop noodle house.
