The actual service at the time of sale was as you would expect of a person in business for 30 years. The after sales service reminds me of the reputation that 1980's sales staff had. I purchased a 2004 Holden Vectra and was very happy with the deal, however the cam-belt came up due for replacement despite being told it had been done and was good to 180,000km, it was rather disappointing when i took the car in for it's 120,000 km service to the original dealer Schofields in new market (who according to the owners Manuel did the 105,000 km service) has no record of that being done. I've tried numerous times now to get the record but I have been unable to get through. Guess i'll have to foot the $2000 dollar bill for the belt and engine seal.: - (i'll be giving serious thought to who the dealer is a member of MTA or even have the LMVD sign noted about some where.don't get me wrong the car is nice I like the car just $2000 feels a lot when I was told the work had been done.also as a side not after devaluing my trade in for an oil leak the holden either had one at time of purchase or developed in within a day of taking ownership. Not hearing back i'll have to bite the bullet and pay the money because he did sell us a very nice car!
The appalling lack of honesty was in poor taste.
Being told my trade in was barely worth his time due to it “raining oil” was a slap in the face considering the oil leak and thousands of dollars worth of work that was required to stop the leak and bring the car up to the level he sold it as being.

First of all, if you don't want to read this review here is a shortcut for you DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Chris or his Company.

Second of all, I like the car (2008 E350) and still do. One would argue whether this is Chris' merit. Here is a list of what went wrong (both at the time of purchase and after; in chronological order) and I will let you decide for yourself (spoiler: if you don't have time read #3 in FULL) :

1. Before collecting the car Chris was pushing for my to buy an insurance. I was interested if I could service the car myself only. He assured me that this is NO PROBLEM as long as I document/photo what I've done and follow the recommended schedule. After a few calls to the insurance company and visiting their office I was told a number of times this is in fact NOT the case and I can't service it myself in order to keep the insurance valid. When I mentioned this to Chris, he didn't comment. I didn't buy the insurance;

2. Upon an initial inspection of the car I noticed the following:
a) There was no tints as seen in the promo photos. He told me as per law they'd had to be removed. OK. Why didn't he mention this before I'd deposited the money. The tints were one of the reason I decided to buy this particular car;
b) He advised me that in order for the car to pass the WOF inspection front disk brakes/brakepads were replaced. OK. Whoever did it had done a SLOPPY job: both calipers and wheels have signs of brute force applied to them. Yes, I will have to replace the beautiful wheels at some point because they've got bit chips on them. You can imagined if Chris uses these people to work on his cars what does he care, really?

3. Here I was making a test drive. I noticed significant vibration while at speed of up two 70kmh with a peak at 30kmh. On higher speeds it didn't disappear just got less noticeable. Chris suggested that this might be flat spots on tires and I should use the car for a few days and if the problem did not go away he would arrange new tyres. OK. To cut it short, after a few days I decided that enough is enough and gave Chris a call that I would go and put new tyres of my choice on and I understand that he would probably have put used tyres and so on, so I agree for him to reimburse $500. He said that's a good idea. I went on and put the tires on ($1700) sent him a copy of the receipt and never heard from him. After that I was chasing him for a month and he would always swear that he would transfer the money today/tomorrow/you name it. Then he just stopped picking up the phone. Ok I lost $500, BUT here is the shocker. I requested to collect the old tyres from the shop and what I see - all 4 tyres have got separated side walls (a big crack running in the border between the side wall and the surface touching the ground). To put it simply my family and I were lucky to not get a blown tyre or all of them for that matter while on a motorway at high speed. I will let you digest it and decide for yourself if you'd trust a person who allowed this to happen. In retrospective one would argue how the car managed to get past the inspection? I don't know either they are corrupt and this is how Chris clears his cars OR he simply put these damaged tyres on car to save a buck. You decide.

4. After owning the car for a month or so I started paying attention to details and realised that quite a few bits and pieces were missing and one could see that they were previously there. To give you an example (this is standard eq.with this car) : there was no trunk tray, no TV tuner (just wires), the glove compartment use to have something in it, instead there is a few holes same with the armrest compartment etc.

5. After 500kms I found an oil leak and in retro it was there before, but before my collecting the car the engine was cleaned (I assume). To put it in perspective this is another $400 (parts overseas) to rectify the problem. Also, the cheap front brake disks have covered in rust and will need replacement ($800 parts overseas).

This is my short story. Thanks and be safe!

Lack of signage. Looks dodgy. Don't buy a car here if you expect something that will last.
