Citizen Park reviews
73 My partner and I went here just the weekend gone.
The place is aesthetically pleasing, the vibe is nice. I don’t really drink alcohol however, I had the Pimms cup from here and it was delicious!
For food, we ordered the baby back ribs, fish tacos, truffle Parmesan fries, double cheeseburger and bbq chicken wings.
The fish tacos were my fave!
For our food and drinks it cost us around $160
Nice garden courtyard setting with pub food. The food is tasty and good for pub food, servings are good size=would satisfy a man. The chicken pot pie was yummy, flaky pastry lid with creamy juicy thigh ir leg meat. Also has nachos, tasty as well. It's a nice casual pub near my work, ideal for work /business lunch.
Great venue for a large group. Quality beer, menu has something for everyone and very generous portions.
Good drink, food and ambiance. We were however disappointed when a bird from the above ceiling pooped into our glass of cider, however the staff barely apologized for that and didn't even replace our drink.
Great place to gather as a group, food was lovely, and so was ther person serving us, did an excellent job putting up with our crew
Ha ha! It's been a while since Papa and I hit the nightlife scene. Great music and vibe. Popped in for a drink or three after the Rugby and before catching the train home. Drinks a little expensive, but hey, it was a win for Wonen's Rugby.
Very friendly staff.
They have a few delicious vegan options and they were really good about my two year old. They brought out a colouring page and crayons, then they asked me if he would like an ice cream and then he fell over so they brought over an ice pack! So supportive!
I attend quiz nights here on Tuesdays. The food servings are generous, and the service prompt and friendly. It's spacious, well heated in the cooler months, and cool in the summer. The music can be quite loud at times though.
We had a birthday party booked here and were advised time for the venue would be allocated 7pm to 1am. The staff tell us at 1155pm that they will be closing at 1230am and last call at 12am. This was not discussed. When we tried having a mature conversation of why the bar tenders were very rude and said and i quote "bro you want to fight" lets take it outside. If he had just explained that there was not many people buying drinks now or the party has gotten smaller we would have accepted it, but he was super aggressive, and we were not drunk at all. And there was another woman bar tender who was acting drunk or was drunk. Very unproffessional employees. She then ran through our crowd at 1230am with a beer in hand to leave the venue. Everything was great in the beginning, we were allowed to drop off cake early, food was easy to order, although not value for money (brie was so small) for the price. Also the music is way too loud The venue was not free and there was a deposit that needed to be paid and was paid off in food/drink during the night plus guests paid for thier own drinks. We have emailed the events co ordinator and got no reply or no apology.
We recently held a team dinner at Citizen Park and had a fantastic experience from all the staff as well as great food and beverages! Will definitely book again! Thanks Kat
Fathers Day lunch with my family and across the spectrum of where you hope service & dining might be restored [pre-Covid standards], this establishment was great! Food variation was really good and as a steak man [very particular] - my steak main was VERY VERY good and cooked to almost perfection. Yes I would go back.
Really enjoyed my first experience here, just happened to be quiz night too! Well priced beverages and attentive staff made for an enjoyable evening
Lovely atmosphere, I am a local and like that this place is part of our neighbourhood. Some decent outdoor and semi-outdoor space.
It’s a shame though that not one staff member seems to be following current Covid protocols and wearing a mask. It worries me what that might say about management and caring for their staff, and customers’ welfare. Ironically, on the day I’m here there is a quiz on, with big images on a screen about “hygiene practises” yet nothing about masks.
C’mon guys, do better - Covid is airborne!
Great place. Came here about 7 years ago for my brothers stag and also had an amazing time. Highly recommend
Been sitting here for 60 mins and still not a single server has approached the table to take my order. Guess I'll drink water and eat when I get home?
If you want to go classic, their nachos are a vibe and might be the best in Auckland. I haven’t eaten all the nachos in Auckland tho…
Great location. Though bit of parking hassle. Good ambience and atmosphere. Lovely staff. Good food. Love to visit again.
Great night on new yesrs eve, good dj, amazing staff good food and our host Debbie and her crew took fare of us so well and made our night.
Always great service, great food and great selection of drinks! All in a lovely, trendy setting. Get here!
Had a great time at Citizen Park last weekend. Really friendly staff who were attentive the whole night. You also can’t go wrong when the beers is cold and the atmosphere is on point.
Thanks CP team
