Columbus Coffee reviews
21Love your coffee! I live in Greenhithe but travel to Avondale daily, I look forward to calling in here. Always polite & friendly, great service.
Not great experience for us. Difficulties with getting the order correct, and then food was served to our young child on a burning hot plate, very dangerous. Food was low quality, poorly painted interior. Not the usual standard of Columbus cafes from my experience and we frequently visit them all around Auckland.
Just stopped in for a coffee and muffin. Sunday afternoon so was extremely quite. Which I am not complaining about. It looks like it's a very busy place during the week. Coffee and food were great
Absolute perfection, had coffee there with a friend.
I'm really particular about scone's I don't want it microwaved, I want it fresh, I want it not from the freezer, or 5 days old.
Savoury Scone was to die for! Perfection. 10/10
Fresh, crumbled just slightly, put it under the grill for me.
Staff friendly and helpful and the toilets were well looked after as well. WELL DONE! Please keep up the fantastic work!
So impressed.
Purchased a Latte and a Hot Chocolate. They were too hot to drink - a warning sign that the barrista needs some more training. Had to wait 10 mins for them to cool down. Latte was awful and left a funny taste in your mouth - generally poor quality milk most likely the cheap stuff. The Hot Chocolate tasted like just hot milk. Won't be going back.
A comfortable atmosphere inside cosy feeling. I just ordered a hot chocolate to go.
It was nice with a chocolate fish to go with it.
It seems to be a popular place as a few people dropped in.
A couple of table seating out side.
Not sure if I would sit there a bit close to the car's going in and out with their car fumes.
Coffee was nice Food was lovely could of done with few more choices plenty of seating and easy acsess for disabled and good parking too

Local for brekkie after a walk. Must go there, it's worth it and the staff are great. Parking is good, nice indoor outdoor flow
We had brunch there on Saturday and it was lovely. Not busy like the malls. Nothing fancy good honest well cooked food. Hubby had an open omelette and I had the creamy mushrooms which could be creamier, but still good. Coffee was a surprise and very good, in preparation of the lunar year of the tiger this week
We went as a family for lunch Friday 30 April 2021 approx 1pm. Extremely disappointing and won't be going again. Food did not come out all together. Was served meal by meal over a period of item when other's had finished. The idea of going out together is to have a meal together. Corn fritters was disappointing as if they had been reheated. Drink was knocked when a meal arrived we had to follow up for a cloth. When I complained as we was leaving no response.
What a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere for a leisurely catchup over great coffee and delicious lemon tart on a Saturday afternoon.
Very dissapointing experience at Columbus this morning. The lady taking our orders got several orders wrong and even after correcting them they still arrived wrong. The food too far too long to arrive and half of our table had finished their breakfast before the rest had even received theirs. All the food was also cold by the time it was served. We definitely won't be back.
Service was great. Mocha was just as good but the Chicken Frajita was plain and not that appetising. I was not impressed with that particular food choice. Sorry to say.
I had the mince on toast and it was really good! It also came with 2 eggs so it was awesome value for money at only $10.00. And the coffee was not only pretty, but it tasted great as well.
Ordered food from the kitchen menu (tasty) and coffee (meh - regular flat white too big & weak) and was really disappointed to receive my coffee in a takeaway cup. Whhhhyyyyyy?
I tote around a keep-cup for takeaway coffee but didn't pull it out as I was eating there.
Columbus, please be a bit more aware so that customers can choose to do their bit for the environment.
Get what you pay for I guess.
$10 lunch special Thai salad, noodles top dressed with chicken bits and sweet Thai chilli sauce. Nothing green, at least that was noticeable.
Food wasn't great
The pastry in my pie was raw.
When I told the staff they said that's the way it comes. Won't be back.
Delicious food and great coffee
Relaxing atmosphere
Fantastic staff with wonderful customer service
Fantastic for place to go for my Saturday morning brunch
Good coffee, typical selection of chain cafe food at moderate price. Clean and nice environment with tables and lounge chairs plus reasonable amount of parking.
