Columbus Coffee

Had been looking forward to a Thai beef salad since the amazing one I had in Rotorua last summer. Today's at the Auckland Hospital was awful, so full of gristle it was unedible but I did finish the green parts. Zero quality. Regarding the top of Queen Street branch why don't they just close it down. Its either kitchen closed (1pm) we're out of ingredients, or were closed today because everyone is sick sory to hear that bit! But i still havnt got over the horrid eggs from 1 year ago. It had more butter than toast, soft egg when I asked for hard and streaky bacon that was just pure fat. You'll often find far better quality in the provinces, it's true. Sorry but I had fast gone off Columbus before today's lunch and thought give it another go. Now it's final, no more. Cabinet food looks good but scone average recipe

Such a great barista! It’s so nice to be recognised and have a banter while he makes our weekend coffee. Best coffee in Auckland and best service!

Great service. Thank you for letting us stay a few minutes after your normal closing time. Our family is dealing with a critically sick member. We are greatful for your patience.

Coffee was a little slow, approximately 10minutes, but was brought to me. I had to look for sugar, found a container saying raw sugar, but was white sugar in not the usual packets from Columbus. How ever the coffee was fine.

This store was already closed before 3pm ;- (no idea why. Website and notice said 4/5pm closing time

Found prices a bit high for the contents of food, for e.g Cesar salad a lot of lettuce, parsley, a little egg, not able to find much Bacon.

The food here is very good but sometimes the service is slow.very slow! And sometimes Ive had to wait too long to be served. For someone who works at the hospital next door and only has 30mins for lunch and 15mins for a tea break.this can be disappointing! I end up going to the sushi shop because its only a 1-2 min wait.sorry Columbus.because most of your meals have to be heated up and/or prepared.its too long to wait.

The coffee was a decent size however at 5.40 I felt like it was overpriced. Situated next to Auckland Hospital its close enough to go to if you're visiting anyone at Auckland Hospital. The furniture was old and in need of repair.

Mushrooms on th eggs Benedict had some weird taste to it.

Awesome, been here every day for past 3 days. Beautiful fresh food and great service with super friendly staff. Will be going there tomorrow again while having treatment in Auckland Hospital.

Service is nice but I had a mushrooms and chicken panini and it was too spicy.
Adding spicy sauce does not make food better. On the contrary, it covers the flavours from other ingredients. It is a question of dosage and it is easy to go wrong with spicy sauce.

Nice place to relax, have a coffee and a bite to eat, right next to Auckland Hospital.
A place to de-stress and enjoy the ambience.

Ordered the chicken halloumi salad.really nice presentation.but tasteless, cheese was overcooked, too much quinoa.should have called it quinoa salad.very little chicken.maybe just order coffee next time.

Best roti bread in Auckland & nice service. Less keen on "pork rendang" which tasted like a curry. Terima kasih.

Had breakfast here last couple of days.very handy to where I needed to be.
Service slowish but maybe that an Auckland thing.

Had to explain my simple coffee order about 3 times, unfortunately it was terrible. I drank a third of it and left it there. Didn't order food as the muffins/slices looked very dry and over priced. I'd recommend the cafés etc inside Auckland Hospital instead!

Keep on top of these people with ur large coffees they try give u a small 1st time they got away with it 2nd time No. $24 for a burger‍️

Staff do not listen when you order.they give you the incorrect food order.
Muffins are dry and uneatable, please serve fresh food in future as we work hard for our money.

Absolutely amazing staff, very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and Absolutely wonderful coffee. The latte and caramel latte was amazing. Thank you for your amazing service, definitely be back and recommend this place to others.

Delicious food and great service. Only downside was the cigarette smoke drafting in through the doors and smoking out the Cafe.
