$745 including GST to fix my Civic air con

Although I am grateful that the air con was fixed just before Xmas/New Year holiday season began, it appeared that their service provided was OVERPRICED ️

My trusted mechanics (was already on holiday when I needed the repair) now advised me not to return to Cool Car in future as the job should only costed ~$300-350 max, and the items listed on the invoice were doubtable too.

I am sorry to say I do not recommend Cool Car.

I had my car checked here for regas of the aircon and was quoted $950+ gst coz she said there’s blockage and would be a 4 hour job to clear it! I took my car to another place and they did the regas and oil only for $220. Don’t go to this place it’s clearly a rip off she didn’t even check properly just put this gadget and said no gas and blocked and quoted me for $240 regas and 4 hour job and need to leave my car for a day. Good to take it to another place for a second opinion my. The place I had it done was good and did it for only 15 minutes now my aircon is going well they’re called Advanced Auto they’re in Marua Road Mt Wellington

I wish there were more stars than 5 to give! Nas is such a great communicator and helped me get the Air con fixed at the best market rate. She’s very flexible and is a great professional! She went the extra mile to get the job done! Highly recommended!

They did not get the job done and caused more problems, seems like not have expertise with EU cars.
My AC button worked before sent it to this workshop and now it doesn't work. I did a diagnosis with another workshop, and from the computer, it says the AC button is physically damaged. But this cool car told me, it was from my car's sensor.
Meanwhile, if it's a sensor issue they should not Remove/replace the compressor
Anyway, it was a really bad experience.

Nas, is really good to deal with and easy to transact with. She did a great job finding tge fault of my daughter"s car amd she did an awesome job fixing it. My daughter love her car somemore now that the aircon is fix. Cheers Nas and keep it up with your good work and customer service.

I was happy for them to regass my aircon. However, after discovering they were going to charge me $320 just to replace an air filter - it completely deterred me. Considering an air filter is only $30-60 and easy to get to, it was absolutely shocking. I'm giving 2 stars as I appreciate they didn't charge me for a quick diagnosis. I will be looking at changing the filters myself though. Very unfortunate, but best of luck.

EDIT to your response: $320 was just for the change of the cabin filter PLUS $220 to regass, totalling $540! That wasn't right in my eyes. I can buy a filter at Repco for $67 and replace it myself. It only took me 10 mins to get to the old filter and remove it. It's not right to overcharge a lady. As I said, I wanted it to be positive experience. Your service was recommended to me by my trusted mechanic.

Nas and team is amazing! We often use them for our business and Nas is amazing to communicate, and gets the job done!

Be aware of this workshop-Coolcar Air Conditioning Centre East Tamaki. The quote I got from them is $356 more than another workshop. They also tried to charge me $150 unreasonble labour cost for the assessment.
I visited them a week ago for car AC repair. I was told assessment fee was $69. They quoted me $1200+GST for the repair after assessment. When I told them I would like to try someone else to see if I can get better price, they wanted to charge me extra $150 for 1.5 hour labour plus $69 for just assessment because I wouldn't repair my car at their workshop. I paid them $69 after an argument. I visted another workshop Auckland Auto Air, they charge $69 assessment fee only if I don't go ahead to repair. Auckland Auto Air quoted me $950+GST in total for exactly the same repair.

Nas was very accomodating and honest about the work and value to be done. Very helpful. Definitely knows what they are doing. Highly recommended.

It was a late Friday morning and I dropped off my car last minute to the Coolcar Centre. The team were extremely helpful in organizing to diagnose the problem asap so the repair could be underway.

Very happy with Nasreen’s customer service. Had a minor issue after service but fixed prompt ly and without charge. Will definitely use again.

Awesome service! Called and they fit me in for a pressure test and then carried out the repair and regas as well. The car is nice and cool now.

Very good service. Got AC repair which I am very happy with. And another electrical repair which was note correctly identified by others was identified and fixed by Ram. Good skills to identify issues.

I have used CoolCar twice in the past 12 months for two different cars that had two different AC problems. I found Nas and her team very friendly and professional and what I was charged was reasonably priced and fair and the work was done in a timely manor. I would highly recommend them.
I also believe there are a few competitor shills in some of these reviews that are not credible.

Great service bit pricey but worth it. My aircon was not cooling the cabin took it to Manukau cool car and they looked for any leaks and re gas and oiled. Awesome service very helpful staff Manukau branch.

Good for the free checks, BUT on other hand, without actually looking over the car and staying a part is broken an which it isnt an give a $1000s fix price, not helpful in that case.
