Coops Corner Pub reviews
47Took 15-20 minutes just to get a menu, and just as long to get served, no frozen margaritas also on a busy Friday night? Thankfully food came out fast and was good but wouldn’t be my first choice next time.
I absolutely loved it the food the cocktails the service I would definitely go again my sister and I shared a platter and the food was so good!
Understaffed. Refused entry because they were too busy for the number of staff they had working.at 1300 on a rainy Thursday in May. "Management orders" apparently, from the staff at the door. Thankfully there's plenty of other options right next to them.
Service was great from the staff working there on friday night- however, very rude front of house and manager that had an issue with my partner having a drink in his hand (?) because he ordered 15 shots.for 15 people.but not the group of men that kept trying to grab at us women half their age.priorities.
Margerita with treats is extremely sweet. The pub is a nice size but you normally need to book to get a table in the sun on their terrace
Waitress was lovely but the food was very bland and the margaritas tasted like very watered down tequila with salt and chilli flakes thrown in, not enjoyable. Such a shame for a nice spot!
The table was sticky, and as a group of 7,6 of us were overcharged because of the waitress getting our order wrong, also couldnt hear each other, a foot away
My partner and I went in and we had 1 drink. We went back and ordered food and tried to order another drink but the girl denied us service for literally no reason and told us to have food and come back first. We ordered 3 sides and ate them, went back to the counter and she denied us again. She in particular needs to get a better sense of judgment or better training. We definitely won't be giving you our money again.
Thought I would take my husband for a nice treat good location but was very expensive on drinks the drinks menu didn't show the price of jugs we arrived and someone showed us to our table but we still had to go an order drinks and food from the bar as we never got a waitress until I said something was a good place but was very disappointed about the pricing for drinks
Went there thinking we'd get something nice to eat and enjoy ourselves. All they had available were very average looking burgers and fries on the menu even though a larger menu was advertised online. Hardly any non-alcoholic drink options. Very poor service from the waitresses, kept having to try wave them down. Honestly take your valuable time and money elsewhere. Way better places to go on the waterfront.
Came here on a Saturday for lunch and were seated outside overlooking the harbour. We had a pizza, the buttermilk chicken, ribs, and fries. The chicken was the highlight, but all the food was tasty. Service was fast and professional, the only let down was the lack of frozen margarita flavours.
Stopped in to have drinks. I was greeted and asked to choose a table and there was table service so they would be over soon. 15 minutes later, no drinks menu to look through, no service. Other tables next to us were getting service, but not us. So we walked out and went across the road. Sorry to say I don't think I'll go back there soon. Pretty disappointing really.
Nice chilled atmosphere, music isn't too loud (loved the Playlist) that you have to scream to talk to someone. Nice range or drinks at a reasonable price. Absolutely loved it. It's refreshing to be at a pub and ACTULLY have a good catchup convo with friends without being annoyed by the music or sitting too far away from the bar. Will be back again.
Great atmosphere, good variety of beer and looks like some interesting tequila selections. Popular for small parties and also do quiz night and live band karaoke
I wish I could give them no star. Staff is horrible, pathetic experience. They throw ice cubes on customers if you ask them aioli and they call you by throwing ice cube on your table. You are not heard even manager Rachael doesn't say anything for this unbearable behavior of her staff. Unacceptable at all.
Ordered steak medium but got an overdone one.a really overdone one! And dey simply just throw a plateful of fries with it n a slice of garlic butter. Not a single pc of green. Fish n chips also de same. Fish wasn't fresh at all. Although my steak wasn't being charged but I'm sure for such a popular place in Auckland yr food quality shld be better than that! Only consolation de waitress Valentina was friendly n nice. De 3 stars r for her!
I wanted to give my partner a very good treat so we decided to visit the Coops Corner Pub since it was the first pub/restaurant that we saw when we entered the viaduct harbour. We ordered for a three course meal. Firstly, I ordered for apple juice and I was served an orange juice with a little stale taste, I decided to ignore it and waited for the entree. The entree was bad especially my partner's own because the meal had too much gravy. The main was really bad as well because the fish and steak meat were bland and tastless. The desert was extremely bitter for a chocolate tart. We did NOT get good value for money here. I would not recommend it based on our experience. However, the lady that served us was nice hence the one star.
Popped in for a drink but the menu and food all around us looked amazing. Super glad we stayed. Great food and friendly staff.
Hiya everyone, I’m not one to write reviews but I couldn’t find an email to message this company directly. Anyway my partner and I decided to go to town for a night out after Covid (Saturday) and he decided to take me to coops as it was the first bar walking to viaduct. Everything was relaxing till we received our mojito’s. My partner was not happy that it didn’t have mint in it otherwise we would of chose a different drink. Also I’m the one to drink cocktails but I don’t know why but this cocktail was very watery and could hardly taste any alcohol. Dear manager if you read this please please taste your cocktail menu before serving this to your customers. Also we ordered a heinakin but never arrived, so we asked for the bill, said they will be back soon, nothing so we had to ask the lady at the door to do it, we just wanted to go. If the manager could email in private would be great if I can receive an email address. Kind Regards, Sarah mcmurtrie.
Pina colado was the best cocktail we had there. Pizza was another sensation to the list. Try it out, won't regret. Its a pub so we don't experience any customer service.
