Corban Estate Arts Centre reviews
19 Beautiful wedding at the St. Michaels church today.
Clean venue with plenty of seating provided
Attended a weekend 2 day workshop on Nature Journaling was absolutely fantastic. Been there previously for a show which was stunning.
Our tutor Molly was so helpful, enthusiastic and made it a lovely experience. Lots of renovation/construction but after covid it's so important to support the arts as it brings incredible value into our lives. Now more than ever.
The Cafe served super delicious food from scratch with nice twists.brilliant coffee.
I Did My Film Workshop By Disabled Arts Organization. I Really Love The Heritage Bulidings Very Well Maintained. Vibrant Environment
Attended Vegan Food Festival here at Corban Estate. Great venue. Plenty of parking, shelter from wind and roads. Excellent facilities
Great place to walk the dog and see the rabbits. The art center is self centered and very opinionated. The controlling trust has no interest in maintaining the link with the history and people who give the area its name.
Great location, welcoming friendly staff. Dr Bobby Hung is an awesome tutor, with stacks of knowledge and the skills to back it up!
This place is a bit of a hidden gem for a mini outing or place to get art gifts. They have art from local artists on display as well as a gift shop selling art from local artists where they'll include a little pamphlet with information about the artist which always adds to a gift.
They have events over the year and classes but I haven't experienced those so can't say too much about it.
The cafe part is different and interesting. Much of the food is made from scratch including sauerkraut. Cost is very reasonable and coffee is great. Cold drinks too. Inside and outside seating. Quite small.
Corban Estate Arts Centre runs great Summer School Workshops and Art Classes throughout the year. I highly recommend a visit to the Estate, to see then onsite galleries, café, and shop.
What a wonderful asset for the west Auckland community. Corbans Estate is a a multi venue and multi event centre that invites people to be creative
What a flexible and responsive place.
Old style place but aer centre is lively and cafe is fabulous, with lots of organic and healthy choices)
Corbans is a great place, for kids, community events etc.i was asked to change my rating on here because the corbans estate team had seen what i wrote about their Facilitys Manager, being rude, yelling at us pokemon players from her vehicle, asking us for cigerettes & using a story about her friend having domestics with her partner to gain a foot with us to get smokes.like i said the last time i found that highly unprofessional of her. She also wrote a facebook post pointing out Pokemon Players who would use corbans to walk/drivearound saying that we would "Plan Community Days" without their knowledge/permission and consulting with them, NIANTIC planned community days and those of us who play pokemon just happen 2 show up at corbans for that so it wasnt planned it just happend like that, as you all are aware now it had Pokestops/Gyms the best spot in Auckland and possibly NZ. We saw & Met Many who came to corbans for that.
Our Huge community gave back to corbans by voting for the million dollar art project more than once, that post was spread across the whole community of Pogo Players in Auckland not just west! Whilst being at corbans our people made sure we were respectful, clean, and even made friends with the dog there we all ended up calling max ;) We are completely thankful that Corban estate Management allowed us there for the time we had.
Lots of arts booths with varied arts items. Kids have fun in the education center with some take aways
Perfected coffee, lovely laid back but attentive couple running it, great quality homely food, good tunes, all in a hidden little spot. Can pop into art exhibitions next door & plenty of open space for kids nearby.
A must place to see when in Auckland for art lover. The venue is interesting, and variety of art forms. Ample parking space. Friendly people. Gleem Festival and Race Relation day was held there several years ago, pictures included, see for yourself if the place is interesting.
I have found it's really friendly place it has wonderful coffee shop run by a lovely couple so please go and visit
The staff are awesome, and the coffee shop makes the best coffee and food I've tasted in a long time.
This is my go to for outside inspiration time. You can wander around the grounds and come across murals, hidden sculptures, ceramics set into the ground, installation pieces, pottery art.and the run down industrial buildings are a work of art in themselves! The public indoor gallery always has interesting exhibitions on and the open studios often have artists working in there so you can pop your head in and see what's up. This is my happy place and refugee from Auckland city when I need it!
Just a small gallery but changes often. Every year has free events on which are fantastic for the kids. Once a month free art class for the kids.
