Cornwall Park Cafe

We ordered online and the food didn't arrive at the same time then we ordered coffees and milkshakes but we were really disappointed as once we received the coffees but the milkshakes didn't arrive until we were ready to leave. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Nice cafe in the park, nice food and drinks. No Wifi (nov 2023), so not a good place for working, but check before you go if this is being offered now.

Today I had leftover remnants of red velvet lipstick on my mocha coffee cup. I do not wear lipstick. I let the lovely waitress know and she apologised and notified the barista who made another coffee for me. I received the coffee but it tasted like a flat white - not a mocha. I let the barista know and she spoke to me rudely saying I was wrong. Okay, so you wanna serve me leftover lipstick on a dirty coffee cup and talk to me rudely? Please treat your customers with respect. I am very disappointed with your customer service!

Very disorganised staff I ordered a coffee with my name and the staff gives it to another lady with a different name and I heard it clearly
For a cafe with so many staff they need proper training and be friendly with new or regular people!

Good food at reasonable prices.
Nice in park on a fine day, but draughty etc on rainy days need ️️then customers will smile.

Consistently good food, and ok, you are paying a bit for the setting and location. I think it's worth it. Gentrified exotic species on a trampled upon maunga, but we're all stressed - appreciate what we have.put the recharge into good use.

Went twice there. First time for a coffee and was good. Went today and ordered a mushroom omelette and was terrible.
Overcooked, bland and the mushroom was almost off problably for beeing outside the fridge for too long.

Racist cafe. There were clearly two tables outside that were free but I asked if they had any free tables available anyways and the blonde bimbo said no fully booked then the white guy behind me ask if they can grab the seats outside then she replies back saying sure. RACIST AF CAFE

A beautiful day so Cornwall Park Cafe was the place to head to. My friend is Chinese so I don't understand the racist review below. A warm welcome was given to everyone at lunchtime today. It was cold on the south side but they were gracious in moving us to a sunny table when available. Food was tasty and my friend loved her meat free Buddhist bowl.

Busy cafe in Cornwall Park. It always seems to be really busy here, so the wait time can be long at times. Cooked food is pretty good value for money and they also have cabinet food available. There is ice cream for sale outside, along with outdoor seating where you can keep an eye on the kids running around

Went on Mother's Day so super popular, but it's like this almost every weekend so be prepared to wait. Its nicely furnished, lots of natural light looking out to Cornwall Park. Food is good, menu or counter options. Service is fine, but can be a bit frazzled, see above. Oh yeah it's quite loud inside when full, not so good if hard of hearing.
They have a few kids toys, pencils etc tucked away.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday morning and was asked to wait outside of the cafe. A man then came up to us and asked if we would like a table and we said yes. He then put our name down on the waiting list and told us that he wasn’t sure how long the wait would be. After waiting for 15 minutes, we saw a couple walk in saying that they would like a table for two. A female staff member greeted them and gave them a table straight away. As you could imagine we were annoyed, so we decided to leave. It seems like there are inconsistencies between how staff members treat their customers, as well as the system they follow.

Sunday 20th Food was OK but. "you mentioned it would be 30mins for food, its been over an hour" response "you shouldn't have come in on the weekend".

I usually pick up a takeaway coffee on my way to work here on a fairly regular basis. I drink a small mocha which ranges from $4.50 - $5.00 at most places. However this morning I was asked to pay $5.50 when I ordered this. I questioned why the increase? One of the wait staff said something about an increase in staff wages. This is outrageous no one charges this amount for a small coffee that I’m aware of. Well if that’s the case it will cease to be my regular morning coffee stop off which is a shame as the coffee is very good!

Great Cafe.very busy. Seating is difficult as its very popular. Good food plenty of parking. Friendly staff.

A Decent Cafe in an awesome setting. Unfortunately after couple visits, I have noticed they often have quite long waits on their food orders. Thankfully the staff are communicative. Their food is frequently platted beautifully.
However, in terms of taste is really not really upto snuff. My most recent visit yielded a big breakfast where the majority of the bacon & mushrooms were so burnt that I left the majority of them. This may just be a result of them being busy, but that is definitely a surmourntable problem. Will likely visit again and hope that the food is done better.

Fantastic setting with great coffee and a great selection of amazing food. From breakfast through to dinner. Well worth a visit

Nice food and coffee but.horrible service.waiting for a coffee for 30 mins (always). Also they charged me more than it was noted in menu on the wall. When I questioned it waitress told me: menu is incorrect. It is unacceptable - People make decisions based on menu. I told it to the manager and she was very rough to me

What a terrible experience. Do not recommend. It's not that it took 30 mins to take our order, it's not that it took over an hour for our food to arrive, its not that when my simple egg on toast did arrive the bread and bacon were burnt and eggs overcooked, it's not even that everything arrived at different times. Its that when we went up to pay (full price by the way!) and mentioned this to staff after politely waiting for nearly 2 hours, they didn't even apologies but instead gave excuses and made us feel to blame. The saddest part is they've clearly had this feedback before and ignored it. They need to work on their customer service, would not go back!

Rated this location pretty highly quite awhile back, but it's good to revisit to see if they have maintained their high standard. I wasn't disappointed.
