Crystal Laundromat New Lynn

I strongly suggest do not visit this laundromat. No will answer your call or email if you loose your money incase any machine didn’t work after your payment.
They have rubbish and third class customer service.

Thank you for maintaining the place well but it would be great if you have washing & dry machine for Shoes as well. I believe it would be really good addition to your business!

My washing machine died and I fortuitously noticed this large clean laundromat. - Awesome service and would definitely use again.

Service:
The self-service atmosphere is easy to navigate. If you need assistance, the on-call person, usually Ola, is always able and willing to assist. In addition, Ola creates a friendly atmosphere without being intrusive. She always checks to see if anyone needs assistance and regularly cleans the machines and surrounding common areas.

Environment/Cleanliness:
In saying the above, yes, the environment is mostly clean and spacious. However, there is one area, near the vending machines, that smells like urine all the time. This is why I have not given 5 stars. This has been an issue (for me) for months and it seems like the management is not addressing this properly. It is a major put-off because the vending machine, which is there, is not only for food, but for laundry supplies. Hence, it is very likely you will need to go over there to purchase something.
Note to management: please address this! It is untidy and unhygienic.

Value:
Every week I purchase 1 hot wash and 1 large dry. I have about 1.5 standard laundry baskets of clothing. Hot washes are more expensive than warm or cold washes ($8 for hot and about $6 for cold). I budget $15 for the wash and dry ($7.60) in total. If you need to purchase laundry supplies (i.e. Laundry bags, powder etc.) I suggest factoring in an additional $8. Lastly, the machines get the clothes clean and dry (40 min for a wash and 40 for a dry - with the suggested load above).

Overall:
This is a better place than most laundromats due to the friendly staff, easy self-service atmosphere, good pricing, and the freshness of the clothes once completed. The only thing is the vending area and the need to disinfect, clean, and managment to do something about it! Other than this, I recommend the use of the laundromat.

I tried various laundromats around New Lynn and Green Bay and found cleanliness a problem. I tried Crystal Laundromat opposite Lynmall on Great North Rd by Nando's. I walked in and everything was spotlessly clean. Olla the onsite manager is a sparkly happy friendly young woman who makes visiting there a pleasure. She gives alot of energy to her job and is always busy cleaning. Cannot recommend this laundrette highly enough

Friendly, helpful and kind.
If Crystal laundromat has employee of the month/year it should definitely be Ola.

I’ve been taking my laundry to crystal laundry mat new Lynn for always 3 years now. I’ve never had problems with my washing. It’s clean, very spacious, and easy access to pay. Ola that works there is very helpful when I need help with my washing. She’s always makes me feel very welcoming. I would diffently recommend crystal laundry new Lynn.

I felt like a lost sheep, ended up leaving after I paid into the machine through eftpos, forgot to press a number, I just felt confused, I'd someone was there to help or to show me, I'd probably go back, I just found it for me confusing

Easy go here since Ive found it, can wash blankets too. Quick and close to newlynn mall. 45 minutes in dryer will dry most things

Comfortable and easy self-service.
But when I first came, I didn'n know how to use. The instruction is hanging from the top, it couldn't see well position. But a kind staff helped me. The store is spacious and clean.

Know matter what time of the day it's always clean an tidy, love it coz it is modernize more than the other laundromat who r still on coins. Which needs to get with the times like Crystal laundromat is a awesome business which moves with technology.

Actually, clean and quiet but the old Asian guy working there was so rude, if this happen again I will complaining council about his behavior

Good things:
Vacuum available.
Transport containers available.
Touch screen pay screens available, these take eftpos cards.
Overall, the interior of the business is clean and well maintained.
Lots of space.

Bad things:
Washing machines do not have hot water washing available. Clothes come out of a hot wash setting, feeling cold. Maybe their hot water cylinders aren't large enough, but at 3pm the hot water washcycle is using cold water. At other laundromats, clothes would come out of a hot wash feeling hot/warm to the touch.

Make sure you keep the dryer open when paying so that you can change the dryer settings to medium if this is what you desire. Dryer setting cannot be changed to medium when the dryers are closed.

The worst experience I ever had at a laundromat. The guy was so rude. They were giving free drop off service but they were not accepting the drop offs. Even I was ready to pay extra for drop off. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Lovely laundromat, plenty of parking, lots of machines and they are all beautifully clean! The system is really cool, it's completely digital with a touch screen and it's very easy to use but there are always helpful and friendly staff present if you need any help too. I'll definitely return here again!

I got charged $15 for a small wash + 40 min dry. I also paid for the 'pick up later' option. I confronted them later about the issue, but they said "Oh, it must've been something else" then they just walked away.

Firstly, you ripped me off by charging me for a large wash instead of a small wash. Secondly, you didn't even try to solve the problem.

I like this laundromat, would've gave it a 5 but you gotta be careful that they don't rip you off.
