After a frustrating process with continual delays and excuses, followed by a very substandard install more than a month late, we are still waiting for a resolution. Calls and emails to the Whangarei store are not responded to and constant chasing has been frustrating for all involved. Head office are also aware of the issues and yet we still wait and lead the follow up. I too will check company reviews in the future as these are telling.

I would give 0/5 stars if possible. I sincerely regret not reading these reviews before I used Curtain Studio.
I ordered and paid for custom curtains in Feb 2022 - they were installed very late (May 2022) … and completely the wrong colour. I immediately contacted Curtain Studio. It is now August 2022 and despite Curtain Studio admitting the mistake, there has been no solution and absolutely appalling communication.
I’ve been left with no other option but to pursue a claim through the Disputes Tribunal process.
By the sounds of the other reviews, it might be a good idea to contact Fair Go too - buyers beware!

I ordered custom curtains from the 12-day promise range. I had to consistently chase for updates on when my curtains would be ready. It ended up taking two months. The reason for the delays has still not been satisfactorily explained to me, but based on the other reviews, it seems to be standard practice for CurtainStudio…

EDIT: This review was posted after I escalated the matter and gave CurtainStudio the opportunity to investigate. The below reply is a hollow offer to help.

Absolutely appalling. I cannot believe they do nothing in relation to the reviews on here. Wish I had read them before placing my order. I feel so sorry for the installer as well. He will now have to return. 3 hour trip, ONE way, to be able to complete the job due to bad follow up and service by CS. We have been renovating for 8 months.almost a start from ground up and have used every trade under the sun. Curtain Studio is the worst by far. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I placed an order for curtains in May 2021, three different sets of curtains, two of which were meant to fall under their 12 day turn around policy. It is now March 2022 and I STILL do not have the curtains I asked and paid for. After months and months of chasing and multiple excused from this company such as losing my order, blaming other staff members etc we finally got an install date in December 2021 right before xmas. On install only one room could be installed without any issues. The other two rooms, they had done the track wrong so the curtains couldn’t go up and the other room they had the length wrong by 50cm and the curtains looked terrible. Luckily I didn’t throw out our old track so we were able to use that and I was reimbursed for their track which was wrong however I have been absolutely ignored by Melanie from the Wellington branch regarding the wrong length curtains. I am still waiting for a response as to when I am going to get me curtains! It’s been almost a year! What an absolute joke.

I wish now, in retrospect I had " Shopped around! "
Yours is a "Rubbish Service" looking for a 50% Deposit B 4 any Order can go through, ACCORDING to your
Me. F. Botha of Tauranga.un-comunicative.does not respond to E. Mails, says 'soothingthings'. Like " Your Material has arrived, the Rails should'nt be FAR AWAY! "
Nil response whatsoever to my request for urgency.
I am going to wait to the end of the week fro a DEFINITE " We will Istall date". No response bythen will cause me to sek Legal help, in order to get a Refund on my close to $2000 Deposit. I would then be Billing Curtain Studio for Legal Expenses as well.
I believe you " Firm" is simply an Agency for " Measure and Quote", and afterthat you, like Judas, can just say " Well, you'll have to take that up wiyth our CONTRACTORS! (Who the hell are those EXPERTS!?)
In fact, the more I think about this, why not simply Refund my $2000, and I'll bog off and annoy another Firm!
By the way. Would you PLEASE SEND me a Receipt for the Deposit, which left my Account (!) and how about a COPY OF the Contract/Aggreement Me. Botha got me to Sign.she saw fit to supply neither!

I holheartly agree with everyone DONOT BUY FROM CURTAIN STUDIO! Lower Hutt! I spent a lot of money on shears, tracks and blinds. All arrived ok except one track and shear, too short the installer took it back an said he would reorder it what a joke he did not do this.it has now been over 8 weeks and I've now been into the lower Hutt shop 3 times to see where this curtain and track is.it's not even ordered! I've paid for it and my window is bear! No stars for a shop that can not get their act together to get an order complete.

I bought 2 sets of curtains 220 long. Opened one set to hang and the 2 lengths were 2.16 and 2.175 long. I could see outside. Not only were they not long enough, they were both a different length.
I did manage to get refunded from the shop however. I spent over $700 and Curtain Studio has a policy of not refunding more than $500 at a time, and coming back in an hour would not work! I had to make 2 trips to get my money. My returns were because the curtains were nowhere near the length advertised and were unusable. And yet they would not refund me in full at one time. Do they allow us to pay in 2 payments while having the product?
Obviously they do not want my return custom. I do not feel valued in any way and will not spend any more money there. There are other curtain shops out there!

Don't do it guys. Find another supplier AT ALL COSTS. I should've read the reviews first, because you'll see a common trend here: late orders, no communication, abysmal standard of service. 'custom made in 12 days' should not be their marketing grab.the list goes on. And my review is no different.

I ordered in February 2021. Paid them all of the dollars prior to installation. On installation day, 5 weeks later (not 12 days, lol 'ready in 12 days', sure okay Curtain studios), we discovered they were measured and made wrong.eh mistakes happen. BUT NOBODY WANTS TO REPLY TO ANY EMAILS ABOUT THIS. NOBODY WANTS TO ANSWER THE EPHONE ABOUT THIS. NOBODY WANTS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE MISTAKE. SO ANOTHER MONTH PASSES waiting for them to correct the wrongly made blinds and communicate with me about it.

Now we are at our next installation day for the complete set of blinds and they're missing an entire blind? Just forgotten.doesn't exist.again, no communication, no acknowledgement of mistake, unable to contact ANYBODY.

They've all lost their phones and laptops at the bottom of the ocean or something because its radio silence on all communication devices once you are paid in full. We are suckers for choosing Curtain Studio, don't make the same mistake we did. Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Terrible customer service. Clearly the 12 working days promise is not true. New install, paid everything in full, waited couple months. Most curtains that were finally installed look great, but one was incorrectly cut and another incorrectly sewn. One track has a dent, and installer left holes in the wall.
We have now waited another 3+ months for the replacement and fix, and still waiting. I cannot even get an ETA for the fixes as they don’t answer email and when you call it either goes to voicemail or you get a receptionist who promises someone will call back within the hour. Of course they never do. I tried going back to the local store, but they just referred me back to the 0800 number at which nobody will speak to you. The worst customer service ever for a multi thousand dollar purchase. Looking at legal remedies at this point.

Purchased curtains and roller blinds in 2020. The blinds were to be fitted but sat in their Christchurch shop waiting a number of weeks for anyone to arrange a time, any contact was often not responded to. When curtains arrived and collected ourslves to be hung found to be too short. Once the consultant finally arrived with her manager to view issue it was discovered hooks were not in correct place and had to be re-hooked. Waited several more weeks and after numerous follow ups we got some resolve, this was after threatening to remove curtains, return them for a full refund. Funny that within 24 hours they were collected, re-hooked and returned and installed the same day. The outcome is they look great and even though service was shocking took it as a one-off bad experience.

It was decided we wanted to do another roller blind the same as we had to another location, 2 rooms requiring new Roman Blinds and 2 rooms requiring wooden blinds. Thought we would give Curtain Studio one more shot and called personally at their Christchurch branch on Sunday May 2nd to arrange to be contacted for a measure and quote. As our details were on record a note was taken and were to be contacted. Now almost 3 weeks later have not heard a thing from anyone.

In learning our lesson, fortunately on May 2nd, the same day, we called at McKenzie & Willis in Christchurch to arrange the exact same thing. A consultant time was arranged there and then, the result being total requirements have been met, deposit paid and delivery time frames advised.

I would not ever recommend in fact advise against anyone using Curtain Studio, unless of course service is not an expectation.

Do not deal with this company. They have had my money $5000 + since October 2020 (it’s now February 21) and still no curtains have been installed. Poor communication and bad service. Seriously this company needs to look at it’s PR skills and not make promises they can’t and haven’t kept. I see I’m not the only one who has had issues.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. The 12 working days promise DOES NOT EXIST. They say on their website that once your deposit has been made, your order will be ready to pick up in 12 working days. This is untrue. I waited over 2 months for the curtains to be complete. After I paid everything in full, pick up the curtains and hang them up, one of the curtain fabric was faulty. I cannot believe my eyes that it passed their QC. I have now waited another 2 months for the replacement and still waiting. I don’t know how long I still need to wait because they keep changing the delivery date. They don’t answer your email and when you call it just went to voicemail. The worst customer service ever!

Terrible service. Zero communication. Waited over 2 months for custom made curtains, roller and roman blinds, after choosing a different fabric as 1st choice was out of stock. Installed today, curtains were made from original fabric with no communication that this would be the case. 2 sets are made from completely the wrong fabric. Thousands of dollars for a subpar product.

The poorest service i ever had to deal with the roller blinds were made 5mm to long was sent back to Auckland from Hamilton on the 1st of December 2020 been told be back in Hamilton on the 8th then the 11th now the 23rd of January 2021 I will never do business with this company again after spending thousands of dollars so far on our home. That's how they look after their customers, And each time I the one having to make the phone calls, because they don't return your calls and I been getting different stories each time. They gone down hill ever since CARPET COURT TAKEN OVER CURTAIN STUDIO

DO NOT ORDER CURTAINS FROM THIS BUSINESS! I ordered my single curtain mid October and told it would be 12 working days, after 14 and not hearing anything I contacted to find out when I could expect delivery. I was then told they had lost my order and it hadn’t even been placed!? ! What? So I was told it would be expedited- now mid November I’ve been told it will not be ready until 24/25 November- 6-7 weeks from order date. Either someone in the office is bad at their job or the salesperson is telling customers misleading information about a 12 day delivery that doesn’t exist! This is beyond disappointing. Would not recommend this service or company. Still haven’t received my curtain.

I ordered my roller blinds back in October 2020 they came on the 1st December mean to be at 8.00am showed up at 11.00am fitted 2x bedrooms and the Master bedroom blinds were 5mm to long was told by Auckland office they be back on the 8th then was told the 11th now been told they be dispatched on the 22nd of January 2021 I'm really getting very sick of been flogged off all the time and I'm the one calling you guys getting sick of it if I don't get a response im be looking at getting a refund.

As an online customer I am totally happy and satisfied with Curtain Studio. I always receive my curtains well packaged and delivered within 1 or 2 days. And I love my block out thermal curtains. Thanks guys. Great variety of curtains & blinds to choose from. You gotta check these guys out!:)

I was at the Henderson branch yesterday - sadly they are moving to Westgate. However.if I want curtains I ALWAYS choose Curtain Studio. The quality of their fabrics and selection is outstanding and ALWAYS the most competitively priced in NZ. Im pretty sure if there are any issues with finishing it will be because of the sheer quantity of custom designed curtains they make. Please dont let that stop you from selecting this company for your curtain choice. I have been in the business a long time. I can assure you there is none better then this company. Special thanks to Leah and Anita, Megan at Botany and Jane from Custom design. I live in Ponsonby - and Curtain Studio has the quality I demand! Keep it up guys you make NZ proud!

I AM MOST DISAPPOINTED, ORDERED MY BLINDS FEB. 22ND ORDERED, DELIVERED 23RD APRIL. TWO SENT BACK AS THEY ARRIVED WITH CORDS NOT CHAINS LIKE THE OTHERS. ONE HAD A MARK ON IT AND ONE HAD A VERY SMALL CHAIN YOU COULD HARDLY REACH. 24TH MAY DELIVERED, THEY MEASURED A SMALL ONE SAID URGENT BOUGHT IT AROUND 1ST JULY WRONG FABRIC, FINALLYINSTALLED 16TH JULY. FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE AT BOTANY AS THEY ARE GREAT PLUS FEEL SORRY FOR THE INSTALLER. QUALITY CONTROL IS NEEDED WHERE THEY ARE MADE AND PEOPLE IN HEAD OFFICE NEED TO COMMUNICATE MORE. THEY COST ENOUGH SO YOU EXPECT SERVICE PLUS NOT FIVE MONTHS. I WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THERE AGAIN. MY HUSBAND PUT A NICE REVIEW FOR THE STAFF AT BOTANY MONTHS AGO, LITTLE DID WE KNOW WE WOULD GO THROUGH THIS. MARGARET
