Bit of a mixed experience, and I hope the owner takes this as a learning opportunity.

I was here with a friend on 3 September night, we were researching our trip to Waiheke. We ordered tea, shandy, and wedges, they were tasty, no issues with them.

The male manager however, gave us such an attitude the entire night and made us felt very unwelcomed. Apparently I asked for a drink after the bar closed, he declined it in such a rude way saying “I told you we closed half an hour ago. ” Like mate, it takes 10 seconds to make a shandy. You could’ve said “Sorry mate our bar’s closed. ” But hey, that was an $8 business you lost out on.

And the way he asked us to leave, just abruptly collected our plates and went “Sorry guys I’m gonna have to ask you to leave, I mentioned we’re closing soon! ” You could’ve said to us a few minutes ago “Hey just a heads up we’re closing in a few minutes. ”

Just an utter lack of professionalism and friendliness, do you always treat your patrons like this? I wouldn’t return unless it’s the last resort. The manager seriously needs to work on his customer service.

Food hit and miss. Calamari not cooked properly. Must be a new chef. The girl that used to work there kept the place honest.

Situation, staff/service and food exceptional. Slight problem wiyh one of the dishes was quickly sorted out in a most professional manner. Salads are BIG. Highly recommend Browns Bay Brewing Company. Ignore negative reviews and try it for yourself.

What can I say after sitting on toilet from 1 30am t0 3 30am with diarrhea, the worst case after eating pork ribs, Can say I'll never return or refer, perishable goods, food need to be thrown out not reheated

Lovely atmosphere! We had a work dinner. Food tasty. Took too long to get a drink. We were drinking water for quite a while. One other thing my popcorn chicken was sparse. For $24 there was no little salad and not much of the chicken? Other than that great

This is the premier spot to enjoy the beach at Brown's Bay and have a pint of your favorite beer. The food is also excellent. We've been there for lunch and dinner and loved it! The beer selection is awesome. My favorite was their American Pale Ale (not because I'm an American). The fish and chips were fantastic as was the fish burger! Great food, atmosphere, and beer!

Excellent place for a drink, snack, lunch, or dinner. Amazing choice of beer and good quality food. Well worth a visit!

Friendly staff but food takes a fairly long time even though the restaurant wasn’t full. The portion is smaller again now that it has changed name (used to be deep creek).

We have always loved coming here but hadn’t been recently since moving out of the area. Tonight upon being seated, we were informed by our awesome waiter that there would be about a 40 minute wait on food, which we were fine with. After over an hour of waiting for our meal, a platter and a side, the waiter apologised for the wait and assured us that he would check on our order. A while after, the waiter apologised again and offered us a free drink or to try for a discount on our bill, as by this time we had seen multiple tables who arrived after us receive and finish their food. We didn’t complain as we were happy to have a chat while we waited. After eating (food was great), we went to pay and mentioned the discount to the staff at the counter. The manager was called over and proceeded to make faces, laugh and tell us “It wasn’t that long” and “It was maybe an hour. ” She said to our waiter that he couldn’t say things like that in front of us, and when I thanked the waiter for his awesome service, the manager rolled her eyes and said “I’m not trying to be a dick”. We really like it here, the food was great and worth the wait, and our waiter was amazing, it is just a shame that the night ended on a sour note with a manager who didn’t seem to care.

I just stumbled upon Deep Creek Brewery while I was exploring Brown's Bay. I was actually looking for a place that sells milkshakes or ice cream but thought a beer might go down much better

I got an ice cold, freshly pulled, strawberry rosé cider It was the first time I tasted it, and it's my new favourite

The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing with generous portions I'll definitely order some next time.

They have a great selection of lagers, beers, ales, and ciders on tap They have a tasting paddle, and I will also definitely try that next time.

There are stools, benches, and chairs, so suitable seating for everyone? They also have outside seating, a patio, and indoor seating?

The guy behind the counter was very friendly, even after I changed my mind six times

You also get to keep your coaster as a souvenir. Five more visits and I'll have a set

It was my first time eating here tonight and the burger was delicious!
Lovely location overlooking the beach. Excellent service, particularly from one of the waiters (and chef?) who identified allergens in the burger I had not picked up. Great work. Really appreciated your attentiveness.

Waited 40+ mins, to find they forgot my meal and now couldn't make it unless I paid extra for 'tomato inflation'.

I went here on a Wednesday I looked between the loaded vegan fries or the loaded bacon wedges. I asked if there was any chance I could get the onions and salsa (from the vegan fries) put on the wedges meal to replace the bacon. Server said he'd check if they could do it, and if not we decided wedges, no bacon.

After our party of 8 was full of meals, the new server asked if we needed anything else, which at this point my meal was never ordered. After another wait, a lady server came out and said sorry we forgot your food but we cant put through that order unless we charge extra for essentially produce inflation fee.

Just do a bit better next time.

Awesome friendly service to start of with considering how busy they were. Marcus was excellent with hospitality. Also the food was great. I had the Casaer salad only fault it wasn't real chicken I added to the dish but processed chicken but that's okay doesn't specify on menu but I'll ask next time. The highlight of the evening was the cocktails made by Ben had a few too many but they were worth every cent. I will be back!

Nice location, awful food. Ordered chicken salad, hardly any chicken and sloppy salad. Waited 1 hour for food and only came after we followed up.

The drinks were lovely, however for almost $60 worth of food on a platter it was a shame that it was mostly inedible, the steak was underdone and so chewy it was painful to eat, the chicken wings were undercooked and lacked any flavour, it was like plain boiled chicken coated in chilli powder and nothing else. The squid was also inedibly chewy, the only plus was the ribs being mildly decent and the drinks.

The waiters were lovely however the guy at the bar seemed like he just didn't want to interact with us and answered our questions in a quite rude and pushy manner.

Unfortunate that we won't be eating here anymore as it was a family favourite and it used to be so good

Tap beers are bland and uninspired, at the cost of some of the best craft beer Auckland offers.
Food prices are outrageous for the quality ($13 for some crisps out of the packet and a dip)
The entire vibe of the place has been drained which is sad as this used to be our go to place pre covid

Chef cannot cook a steak properly, chef also cannot fry an egg on top properly either!

Ordered medium well last night, did not get that but got red bloody meat, egg was also Over-cooked!

Not the same vibe as what it used to be!

Food & menu has gone DOWNHILL! Disappointing

Really nice place to go with friends! Located in Browns bay easy to park and parking. Staff provide really good Service and friendly and intruding us beers that they have.
