TERRIBLE SERVICE
What terrible service we have experienced. Deon made a huge mistake by putting the crankshaft sensor on the wrong side which he then charged us $1200 for his mistake. Something that would have only cost us $99 cost us $1200.
My husband had to tell him what mistake he made. As a mechanic you would think he would have known but he had no idea. He is very unprofessional and now acts childish by saying that my husband agreed to him ordering the parts. Well that is why we go to a professional after all isn't it? Oh but wait.he obviously has no clue. The right thing to do would be to pay us back but he refuses and doesn't see that he made the mistake. How can a mechanic put a crankshaft on the wrong side and blame the customer? Never use this guy! He cant do big jobs maybe only ok for a quick wof but that's it.

When was the last you heard of a trustworthy mechanic that you feel comfortable leaving your vehicle with?

After 6 years of living in Auckland, this is a first for me.

I have three cars and they will all be coming to DK Automotive for any future work.

Very professional and helpful staff. Was able to book a wof for my motorbike same week. The assessor pointed out potential issues for next wof and how to fix them before they become an issue. I will be returning with my other vehicles, a trustworthy mechanic is a rare find.

First time using these guys and i was really impressed with the service, professionalism and speed that was performed on my car and how friendly they were, i was given advice on another vehicle which i own that has a problem which i then applied and fixed it i was happy as. Quotes never match up to final price, always seems to be something "weird" that happens half way through the job, the odd pipe, the odd bolt, the odd AC cable etc, hence this ends up with a bill twice the quote. I am not 100% confident that the mechanic is very experienced which is why the number of hours of labour charged for a Japanese car is significantly more than when I take my Euro in to the dealer. Rates are the same as well. Too many surprises from Dion hence I wont be using the services again, 2 business cars and 4 family cars will no longer head to DK.

DK Automotive fixed the fan pulley and it went very well, one and a half hours job. Then we sent for a service and check up, 2 hours job. The car goes well, very smooth. Happy with the job.

Hi All I made an appointment last Saturday to have the brakes on my wife's car changed.on inspection Deon informed me that the pads were in very good condition and did not need changing for at least another 20000 kms.
He could of easily changed these said nothing and took my money.
Just goes to prove that not all people are dishonest in this day and age would wholly recommend DK for any one who is looking for a first class mechanic

Fantastic service carried out by DK Automotive! Such an easy team to talk to, one short phone call and i was booked in to get my headlights refurbished. Dropped the vehicle off to them at lunch time and it was done in less than 2 hours! Many other shops out there would charge 3-4 times the price of these guys, for less of a job done; and would need the car for the day. My headlights look as if they were brand new! They're so clear i didn't even notice they had the brand "Hella" stamped on them: D Thank you guys, I definitely recommend DK Automotive to anyone needing this service, or mechanical work done! 10/10!

Stoped in yesterday on the off chance of getting a pre purchase inspection done with no notice. Deon was great thorough with inspection and recommendations. Highly recommended would use again for sure. Price very reasonable

Haven't been, but can't trust. Look below. The owner placed a fake review of their own company. And this is a big no-no. If they are going to place fake reviews, then what's stopping them from giving a BS service.

Good service at the beginning but ripped me off at the end. Got towed to there place from Auckland CBD on may, 24th. Then add to wait three days to get my car. Did the work on it, but I just asked for a quote as I had a really bad accident with it. Charged me 2x $79 for checking the vehicule (Never got a report). Another $79 for wheel alignement, who hasn't been done for the reason of a "possibly bended chassis" and said to me that i could drive the car.
But today, 3000km later, One tyre went flat, completely eaten from the inside. When i changed it The steering wheel was wobbling so much that i checked the other one, nearly dead as well. Went then to a tyre mechanic "Harris" in Gisborne. Guess what! He just checked it and looked at the paper and FIXED IT.in front off me and shew me how to do it. Even me could I've done it if i knew. Got charged for 3 tyres as well but he just had to change 2 and kept my good one.
