I recently had my mother in laws fathers rocking chair restored and a new cushion made. Both the chair and cushion came out absolutely gorgeous! I could not have been happier. I am looking for a quote and some advice. So far, I can't fault either. I will accept the quote, confident that they will deliver on their promise.

We recently had a mid century dining table and chairs restored by Adam and the team. Booking was easy, the quote reflected what we were charged and we are delighted with the results. Will use again and highly recommend.

Stay away from this place. They way overcharge you for a simple carpentry job. I wanted a quick simple fix job on my broken headboard leg not a restoration. They made up the prices on the spot with non realistic reasons for the outrageous price. They say that they are experienced and that’s why their prices are high? If they are experienced then their quotes would be reasonable to the job needed and not adding on things that are not asked for. Got quotes from other places that were much cheaper.
Disappointed.

We are so happy with the thoughtful care taken of my family heirlooms. In my own lifetime, I had never seen the pieces we gave to them to restore look so good. The wood is glowing from the cleaning and shows to great effect in our new home. Where pieces had been broken or come off and gotten lost over the generations, the staff’s wonderful attention to detail and craftsmanship make the newer components seem like they were there all along. The reconditioning of an old upholstered chair long neglected was amazing and now serves as a comfortable place for me to start writing again. The staff was also careful to keep in close communication about each of the decisions they needed to make - this inspired confidence in the care they took of our prized antiques.

We got a quote for a 6 piece lounge suite. Very reasonable. There is alot of detail in the lounge suite, buttons and folds. They polished the corner wooden piece. They picked it up and dropped it back. The finished result was well worth the cost. Dovetail has done a fantastic job and we are happy. Looks good. Thanks Dovetail
