Dr Nicholas Cooper

I was looking for a place to be enrolled as a new resident in NZ and happily found Dr Nicholas Cooper. Nice environment and great first experience from reception to the consultation. I hope not to need to go much but it seems that if I need I'm in good hands. Thanks for the help.

Nick, Sharron and the nurses make a wonderful team. I was skeptical changing doctors because my family dr brought me into this world. However my husband trusted you guys for years so it was my turn to as well. Nick and Sharron make you feel so comfortable when going to see them that it was an easy transition. They have helped me through some medical obstacles and given myself and my family great support every time we need them. Highly recommend the whole team. The nurses have such a gentle approach when I had to bring my daughters in for testing they made it a lighthearted experience which made the whole thing a lot easier. Thanks guys for being incredible at what you do. We appreciate you all!

On 12th Apr 2022, my house has no power from 9am to 8pm and I comfirmed covid-19 positive around lunch time. When I was feeling helpless, a nurse from Dr Cooper contacted me, info me what to do for the next few days and how to keep safe for my 5 years old boy and 75 years old dad at home. My phone nearly run out battery. The nurse helped me order contactless support deliver and tell me I can contact her anytime including out of hours if I felt worse.
Thank you Dr cooper and your team for the helped. The gave me and my family. Once again thank you Dr cooper for all your help.

I do not not recommend this surgery because of the awful receptionist. The doctor maybe good but not the receptionist.

Best family GP, I have been going here for 17 years. Excellent receptionist, very friendly. Dr makes my experience really easy every visit, also very friendly, and knowledgable. Inspirational figure.

Dr Nick is an extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and practical GP who has looked after the community for so many years. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a GP who knows their stuff.

Nick has been our family doctor for the last 25 years. We have appreciated his professionalism availability, pragmatism and directness. We have also enjoyed his conversation and sense of humour during consults.
As a family GP working in a sole practice Nick continues to provide a continuity of health care that is rare nowadays. This has been appreciated by our family and we have no hesitation recommending him to others.
Our move to the mainland now requires us to find a replacement for Nick, something we think will be very difficult. All the best Nick and thanks.

Doctor Cooper delivers quality consultations with a pragmatic easy to understand professional manner. From start to finish the experience is completely patient focused with pragmatic easy to understand advice and a no nonsense attitude. The surgery is warm welcoming and maintained at the highest standard with compassionate caring staff. I can not recommend enough Dr Cooper and all the staff at his practice.

I'm so glad I made the change to Dr Nick. It's been life changing for me in many positive ways. Always get seen in less than 15 mins with no appointment necessary. He is a character with an incredible work ethic and has a true caring approach to patients. Top doc, top man!

This guy is a wack-job. I tell the stories of his complete incompetence to my friends back in the US to demonstrate the perils of socialized medicine.

I see the doctor responded so I'll respond to that here. I was his patient when I worked in NZ years ago and only wrote this review now when, after going through some old emails where I saw our communication, the anger and disgust came rushing back. (David Shaw is a pseudonym, by the way.)

Doctor (Mr Cooper) is very friendly and he knows all the ways to cure the problem.

Dr Cooper has been my GP since 2005 and I have been extremely happy with the level of service and help during this period. I like the idea of no appointment required and car parking is always available. Dr Cooper will spend as much time as it takes for the consoltation, his approach is thorough and most professional. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Cooper to other people. Very highly recommended.

One of the best GP's I've ever visited. Dr Nick is very professional and friendly and takes great care of his patients. I will prefer him over others from now on. One more thing, they also have a super friendly receptionist who's very attentive and reply's promptly.

Dr Nick Cooper has been our family GP for 15 years. He has provided exceptional service. We acknowledge the tremendous support provided when our middle child who at the age of two was diagnosed with cancer and is now 16 and doing just great. Dr Nick Cooper has been our family GP for the past 12 years. We have found him to be professional, thorough, caring and compassionate. Nick has also been great for our four young adult children who never had any hesitation in addressing their health issues with him. Now they are all living overseas and often complain that they have never been able to find any other doctor they relate to as well as Nick. He has our highest recommendation.

I recently attended a consultation with Dr Nick after having had chronic pain for 4 years following an operation. He has given me a treatment which (early days yet) seems to have reduced the pain level significantly. In that he has been more successful than my usual GP and 4 specialists.
