Worst experience, we got accused by the manager, Cameron. We did not know what he was up to and he blamed us for not knowing. I do not think this is a very friendly approach. Please do not practice racism or worst assumption the worst of customers.

It’s my first time here and I was disappointed and I felt discriminated by the way Cameron treated me. I was bowling with my friends and the ball got stuck. When the lane was fixed, My friend told me I could start playing so I did. Cameron came out of the lane blaming me and saying I was hurting him by throwing the ball at him, which none of my friends knew and I just came out of the wash room. So I played my game, Cameron came out and said to me the lane is closed because I threw the ball at him thinking that I did it on purpose. Who on the right mind would do that? I am not drunk and why would I do such act. He talks rudely and with no respect. I am from the service industry too and there was no empathy. I even apologised to him to say why would I want to hurt him if I knew you are Behind it. Seriously, WORSE BAR EXPERIENCE EVER. KINDLY PLEASE GO FOR WORK ETHIC MANAGER TRAINING!

OK for smokers but otherwise a place to avoid unless you enjoy second hand smoke in your face, food & drinks.

The perfect spot to soak in the sunshine and watch the sunset on or near the balcony. Had the smashed beef burger in brioche bun which was tasty and juicy with a small serving of fries.

The views were spectacular. The atmosphere was awesome. The Service was spot on. I came here to celebrate with a group of work colleagues first time visit definitely won't be my last.

Popped in for the weekday burger and beer deal. $30 for a burger and a beer. Good beer! Pilsner was lovely! The beef burger was great. Good amount of pickles and sauce with a juicy patty and fluffy brioche bun. Highly recommend!

Do not recommend! Took the family (my sister, 2younger cousins and my fiancé) there to have dinner and some drinks and ended up being cross examined by a rude bouncer at the door.insinuating I had to many drinks upon arrival for a booking at 8 pm when I was sober driving and we had just traveled into the city for a nice meal.treating me like some 18 year old on a night of drinking. Will never go back to such a low establishment.

Winter of '23 visit
It is a pub where you can see and feel the port city of Auckland properly, but the food is average compared to the price.
There was often a wait to order during busy times.
It is recommended to eat on the balcony side, and the music in the inner hall felt loud.
You can think of it as a pub with only one view.

Love it! Great place, staff so welcoming and warm. Food beautiful and great price, entertainment good and love the bowling alley, your not bored, you can also dance
and have couple of drinks enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Harbor Viaduct. I would definitely go again.

Bit late with the review, but it’s a couple of months on and I’m still raving to people about how great the Dr Rudis Winter Wonderland experience was! The service, food, cocktails and overall atmosphere was amazing, very high quality, I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice evening out.

We got the igloo experience and The cocktails were delicious and we got a wide range of food on the platters along with a delicious ice cream dessert.our waitress Stella really added to the experience she was awesome we really loved her! Highly recommend for a group of friends for a private cosy dinner experience!

We came for a work celebration and the food and drinks were amazing! Ronique the waitress was so nice and friendly to us, we felt so welcome!

Having been a frequent attendee at Rudi's many years ago I am really happy that the place has the old vibe back. Friendly and welcoming, live music on Monday's and exciting new cocktails to try. Definitely recommend for a night out or a chill place to grab a drink and watch the sunset on the best balcony in the viaduct!

Great vibe, awesome music, yumm snacks, good beer, helpful and friendly staff. Can't wait for smoking to be banned in 2025, or whatever, as that was the only negative.

We booked a table to celebrate my birthday with my friends. After an hour a staff member came and rudely said to us we have to leave because the table was booked for another person later on without giving us the option to move to other table. That was awful. I would not recommend this place ever again.

Loved the food and vibe of the place. Guard at the gate was very professional and nice.

Would like to visit soon again.

Great night in the igloos. Top tip: find out where Daniel's tables are, he's a great host and understands how important a drink is when you've spent 3 hours at a 7 year olds birthday party!

Great location - sadly that's about all that's great here, unfortunately appears to have gone downhill in the last while.
Went to the bar to place our lunch order, barman was making a cocktail and didn't acknowledge we were there whatsoever, meanwhile multiple waitstaff walked past and didn't seem interested in taking our order.the barman ended up taking our order and was extremely rude afterwards, to the point we felt like saying give us a refund and we will go elsewhere.chicken tacos were average, chicken was not good and had multiple grissly bits.definitely not in any hurry to go back and wouldn't recommend.
