Drapers Fabrics

A textile store that is considered very good. There are many types and materials and prices that I think are appropriate. The employee is very cooperative, cute, energetic and active.

I love this place. Fantastic array of fabric but the service is just the best. The very knowledgeable, cool, quirky sales assistant is so nice. And the vintage feel inside the shop is so refreshing. Reminds me of a fabric shop when I was a child.

I love their range of fabrics. They also have their own pattern selection. I've made the trousers. Pattern was fairly easy to follow and true to size. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I love Drapers. It isn't the biggest fabric store in Auckland but for me it has the best hit rate for finding well priced, quality fabrics, especially the more eco fibres. Some interesting vintage sewing bits too. Friendly staff and off street parking in the old demolished Lion Brewery site

Such an amazing selection of beautiful fabrics! I can never visit without falling in love with so many rolls of fabric. They also offer scissor sharpening every now and then, including pinking shears - which made me so happy I can now use my nanas shears and not have to buy new ones!

Great range of fabric, and lots of well priced remnants to choose from. There are four customer parks but with all the road works we didn't see but manged to get a street park easily. Friendly staff with good knowledge on hand. They also have many Japanese sewing items, labels by Kylie and the machine as well as their own brand pattern weights.

Drapers offers an excellent selection of fabrics and their prices are fair. I have shopped here several times and been very satisfied with my purchases. I highly recommend this store.

I went into this store on two consecutive days - terrible service and attitude both days. Went in to buy a Zip, the Zips in here are stabled to a tag at what you would think are the 'opening end', thought i had the right one, took it home. Nope, the Zip is not the opening type. Took the Zip back in the morning to be faced by two female servers that looked at me gone out when i asked for a zip that fully 'undoes', you'd think a zip that actually opens would be pretty straight forward right? NOPE not this store, none of them open, they 'don't do refunds' or exchanges (i could understand if this was cut fabric but it's as it was when i bought it). Now I'm left with a useless zip that I've thrown away (wasteful) cause it is no use and NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING! I am quite happy to tell everyone to avoid this attitude problem fabric shop and direct them to the one 200m away owned by a lovely helpful middle aged woman!

Fair selection, fair prices. I wish the two sales people would have been a little friendly. They forgot two items I selected also.: (

Terrible parking situation. I turned into circle half hour to find a space to park, I followed their sign "customer car park" and found myself in the kitchen of a chinese take away. Had to drive home because no possibility to park. Very poor experience of fabric hunting.

Staff are always so welcoming each time I've been in! Great product and sewing knowledge. Beautiful range of high quality fabrics, Drapers is definitely my go to place for sourcing materials! The manager did not hesitate to point me in the right direction when I couldn't find the carpark (I'm not sure how I missed it since its signposted well!)

Great Store Location & handy parking. Good high end dress fabrics like silk, cottons, viscose, Linens mostly from European countries at a very reasonable cost.
